And yet removing the Magpies compromises the competition. Unless that version of compromise is OK?

What did I write last night?

Oh that's right, hypocrites.

I asked this in the other thread and never got an answer so I'll ask it again Beenreal.
Would you be happy for Port to be playing in a league with such an unfair advantage. One where the other teams played to a totally different salary cap and access to players?
Also, would you be happy if Adelaide got the go ahead for a reserves team in the SANFL league and Port didn't?

Why are you so afraid of change???

I'm not. As a Port supporter, I thrive on change.

So you have no problems with the Power playing in the reserves along with the Crows 2s, and an 8 team SANFL League competition.

Good
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

It won't be the Power, it will be the Magpies. And they will be playing for Premiership Points (and the SANFL Premiership) in the SANFL League competition.

I agree that Port are tampering with the league by sending players to Magpies. This should be viewed negatively by other clubs and is another reason that clubs should vote to remove all AFL listed players from SANFL. Can't possibly allow one AFL club and not the other to have players in SANFL, particularly if Port are going to stockpile their players at one team. That is clearly their intention.

And yet again I raise the fact that McKernan was moved from South to Glenelg without a peep. All because "allegedly" South Adelaide had no problem with it.

That's good, but how do you see it is a fair and even comp if the Magpies (Power's 2's) are advantaged over all the other clubs (excluding the Crows' 2's, should it go that way) by having ALL of the AFL listed players available from Port Power. That is an unfair advantage the AFL clubs would have, hence they should not come into the SANFL League competition.

I've tried to get him to answer this numerous times and he goes missing.
For a club of supporters that has been notorious to place blame at everyone but themselves and their club and come up with every paranoid conspiracy theory since the Kennedy assassination, they just love to dodge the big questions. Integral questions to do with the basic fabric of a sporting competition. They love to cry poor and wave the unfair flag but are more than willing to dish out an unjust outcome to further their greedy megalomaniac ambitions.
In hindsight it would've been better if the whole club went to the AFL in '96, in hindsight it would've been better if the SANFL cut the cord from the bastard spawn years ago.
Hopefully hindsight won't come into this equation again to f*** around the rest of a great competition again.

Beenreal are you ok with the fact the the Magpies will never ever be able to win a SANFL premiership again?

If it was West, I would hate that and not follow them again and probably not the SANFL again

There is a huge difference there. Players from the Crows don't all get moved to the same club. At present, the Magpies are not the Power's reserves. As such, only one in every nine players that the Power want moved should end up going to the Magpies.

is it fair for port power/crows to recruit guys from interstate set them up in adelaide and have a opposite sanfl club stuff around with the development of that player? the current system isn't fair as it is. A sanfl team could have all of their afl recruits playing afl while playing against another sanfl team that has all of theirs available. Bit hard to say it's a unfair situation when the current situation isn't fair.

and isn't that why we are putting in a proposal to change this? it's also not in in writing that we can't move players to the magpies but that doesn't seem to stop people having a cry does it?

PH, after watching my club shunted out of Alberton by the Doug Thomas Lynchmob and robbed of all resources (post AFL agreement) you'll forgive me if I'm less than sympathetic to any protests of advantages/disadvantages and alleged "compromises" to the SANFL competition.

A decade of gloating over the parlours position of the "Ethelton" Magpies offers a unique perspective to the various agendas on offer after a while.

But at least you competed in a league under the same salary cap and same access to players. Vastly different to what PAFC is pushing. Huge difference. Sort of makes your "excuse" devoid of any real credence.

Doesn't matter. Liverpool doesn't have a say when its players are loaned to another club, as an example. The loan process seems to work in the game played right across the world. All AFL players in the SANFL are essentially on loan, so why do the Crows and Power have to get what they want?

Totally wrong type of example there DW. When a player is loaned out, the host club pay all wages and play the player as they see fit. If the original club ie Liverpool want to play him in a set position etc then they play him in their own reserves team.
