I've had a think about it.

If the AFL create a reserves comp and Port Adelaide have no representation in the SANFL and then sometime after that Norwood, Sturt, Glenelg, West, Centrals, South and the Eagles ( in no particular order ) fold or cease to exist it's still unlikely I'd support North in anyway.

Thanks for the invite though.

Will cost Centrals $30,000 in transfer fees to Glenelg.
I heard from his brother that he had signed up again for Woodville South.

think you may have been a bit premature

Well before I went with the story a cdfc board member confirmed to myself and Gazzamagoo he was signed.

In addition to a woody south player confirming he had informed the playing group he was leaving to play SANFL.

What has happened since then I’m not sure.

But if bays are asking for a $30k transfer fee I can understand dogs telling them to stick it.

Is he playing for Centrals or not???

Looks like Sumner ain’t coming. Bays won’t budge on $30k transfer fee and we said GFC.

Fair enough bays are kidding themselves.

He could always join the Ginevers, WIlliams and Eberts who all have a North Adelaide connection, not to mention Josh Carr and Jacob Surjan as former Port now North people.

Disappointed to see Glenelg play hardball on a guy they apparently never want back at their club; they are missing out on thousands of dollars at absolutely no gain to them. I didn't think they were in so strong a financial position that they would kiss 'money for nothing' goodbye (not even getting their 'chicks for free'). It wasn't so long ago their financial situation was in Dire Straits.
It also doesn't help the development of a young footballer.
Cheers

Have we potentially dodged a bullet? The lad sounds like he has talent but also sounds like he's carrying more baggage than Heathrow.

Both clubs have dodged a bullet.
Even if the transfer fee was minimal it would still be a waste of money for Centrals.

Wouldn't the GF club prefer some money.....let us see for ourselves if it's a waste of time and money.

Player in question did some questionable acts on the field in the AdFL and got off lightly at the tribunal. Given the SANFL has greater scrutiny this might have been an issue

Yeah that part I don’t get.
Take $5,000 off Centrals and see it as a donation coz that’s what it’d be.
Surely Glenelg don’t want him back?

What did Glenelg pay for him? Maybe they paid $30k and got little or no value for him and are trying to recoup
