It is funny, but just as in the beginning of this year, everybody has Sturt in the lowest or second lowest possible finish for the season. Then, all year, there have many that have gone looking for the Double Blue fat lady to get warming up at the first sign of adversity: when we lost three in a row, when we lost to the Bays the first time, then when we lost to Eagles the second time, and now. After every one of the above mentioned there has been a popular opinion that "The Blues are gone!"

My 5
Central (Too good, can the Eagles upset them at the Grannie?)
Eagles (Possibly the only side able to make the Dogs worry when they are in top form)
Sturt (Faith!)
Glenelg (Fantastic form, good enough to finish third, but I have Sturt there already :D )
North (Unless Jars' has a new trick up his sleeve)
I'm gonna sit back, crack the top off a Pale Ale, and watch the Double Blues prevail

MAte its nothing personal sturt have been great all year to be sitting in teh top 3 as we speak, its just with injuries and loss of form comapred tot eh other sides it is difficult to see them going deep into september.

However if they play with the same attitude they showed against Centrals earlier this year they will do well in the fianls, it is if other sides will let them though (we didn't let you on Saturday).

I certainly don't underestimate Sturt becasue if my side does we will lose.
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

If Feast and Nelson are both out, I can't see Sturt making top three. Their presence around the ball ups was noticably lacking Saturday.

Sturt will need to be near to full strength to get over the Roosters.

If youre going to win the flag, you'll have to beat Centrals.
North and Sturt have shown they can.
We know eagles are capable.

Having said that my GUT feeling goes:
Central
Eagles
Glenelg
Sturt
North

Quite possible that Glenelg could assist North in obtaining the double chance this week which would upset that order
Yeah, Naah,..... Bollocks!

I think the whole competition needs to see the ladder after GF to look like this!
Glenelg
Centrals
Sturt
North
Eagles
Failure is only the opportunity to begin again more intelligently.

As a centrals supporter (and therefore part of the competition), I disagree with your statement rooch.

I am hoping it looks like this:

Centrals
Who gives a sh!t
Who cares
Someone else
Another team I don't care for

No bearing at all unless North and Sturt draw.

No worries Tassie, I haven't taken it personally against the club or myself. Just looking at the bare bones of what has happened this year and the pattern has been as I have described it. I love the way we have bounced back, despite the overwhelming odds many have believed would send the Blues to the lowest available ladder position, time and again. I agree with you that as Sturt are travelling now, it is understandable to put us below the other sides. But that is no different to what has happened all year, I think this is one year when faith has and still could outweigh logic.
Go You Blues! :D
