Errr, correction. The couple of times we played Westies last year we beat them by 10+ goals both times. If Westies were not good enough to beat Sturt the way we were playing last year, they deserved the spoon well and truly.

What the....! Once you get down either South or Marion Rds the Southern Expressway takes you directly almost to the oval gates and at 100kph non-stop. Therefore i argue that a South player leaving work in the city to attend training would arrive quicker than an Central player to Elizabeth and would be only 20 mins difference for a Glenelg player to crawl down Anzac Hwy in peak.
While on the media, the heading of "why would South bother to turn up" in the Advertiser again confirms the club remains the fancied whipping boy of the SANFL with tacid approval from the SANFL who would love an 8 team comp with South the best to pick on. We have been poor this year, no doubt, but over the past 20 years there are other clubs who have colected more wooden spoons than South and we won't collect this years. So that headline could be appropriate for other clubs, but no, hang it on South.

Hey, you've got to remember that this is coming from someone who said that one of the reasons that Scott Lee didn't get the Tiger's job in 2006 was because they were concerned with Lee living in the Barossa. This despite the fact that Lee works/worked in the city.
