95 % of posters on those threads said Sturt would finish 7th or lower.
Are they all idiots or are you a genious ?

I'm no genius, I had them there too. Why? We were bluffed by 2006 which was 1 bad year in about 10 and then someone mentioned the wooden spoon and next thing we all were. Predicting SANFL form is hard at the best of times because of the high turnover of players each season.

Most people picked Centrals to finish 3rd - 5th - are their supporters now banging on about new eras because they are minor premiers instead?

Anyway, it doesn't matter what we thought pre-season - it's about what the current playing list is capable of achieving and, I say again, tell me tomorrow's named team is not a top 5 side on paper then I'll accept your point.

Tomorrows side does look pretty good, but it means nothing really.
The sturt side of 89 and 90 looked MUCH better and I know where they finished up !
So far, sturt has defied most peoples pre-season predictions that they would finish 7th or lower and I think that's what people are on about when they mention Ricks effort so far.

Give us a break Hondo, I could dig up plenty of threads that would show that it was more than Sturt supporters "banging on" about Sturt up until half way through the season. Then everyone got sick of it, but we being Sturt supporters kept on supporting our club. We also have a supporter who gets awful excited at the leanest of times, and he is having a field day this sesaon, but he is one supporter.
I think you'll find most Sturt fans were very conservative about their fortunes most of this year, and continue to be, about the most outlandish thing the majority of us have said this year has been that Glenelg was a danger game.
You are only typing this stuff now because "Heart Beats True" who is a Norwood supporter, wrote something sympathetic to the Blues. Then Dutchy starts with the "Poor Sturt" stuff and you jump on the bandwagon with him. Same thing happenend on a thread started by Mal just recently, a Norwood supporter, just making a comment about the Blues' draw.
Show me the Sturt supporters banging on about the Blues on this thread, and I'll take it all back, but until then look at who is doing the talking before you pass judgment on those that aren't saying it.
I'm gonna sit back, crack the top off a Pale Ale, and watch the Double Blues prevail
