Would all give themselves eachway chances of being drafted this year????

Although Nick Salter was to attend the draft camp in Adelaide yesterday does anyone know if he has actually nominated for the draft yet?

Don't think Hier will get drafted....not big enough for the position he plays.....did not have a great season.

Petrenko will definitely get drafted.....will go in top three of South Australians who get drafted. Not many SA's likely to get drafted.

Harris another ex eagle won the B&F at the Bulldogs and him and Hier are very similar, if you would punt on a callinan u would be well worth a look at hier, Fairclough??? is he a chance????

i'd suggest fairclough is too small, otherwise mouse,kenna & clayton among a couple of others would still be playing afl. i'm not doubting his ability i'm going on what afl clubs appear to want & go for

Can I just have a bit of a rundown on where the eagles guys think Jonathan Lee is at? Just interested to keep a bit of an eye on his progress. If Jacobs comes back from Carlton. Do you think his oppurtunities will be limited?

Well if Jonathan Lee could improve his kicking then he would be in front .But if not then Jacobs could be in front .Don't forget Jacobs did kick some great goals from the boundary line in 2005.While Lee struggled kicking from straight in front close in.

But saying all of that I like the way Lee plays .Could you imagine Jacobs and Lee first and second ruck for WWT.

The word out of Carlton is that if they take Kruezer with the number one draft pick, they will have on their list(as far as ruckmen go) Kruezer, Shaun Hampson, Cameron Cloke, Cain Ackland and Aisake O'Halipan. So they don't see much room for Jacobs. Are you still going on the two goals Lee missed at Norlunga in the first round?

There were other goals missed but he did improve during the year and i think he is a project player of the future for the EAGLES.

As a registered SANFL player, he does not have to nominate for the draft- it's automatic.

This is a draft nomination form from the AFL Players Assoc website. It appears you need to nominate.

I'm pretty sure my statement is correct, but will leave myself open to being corrected if I'm wrong.

Firstly punk rooster, you do have to nominate for the draft.

Eagles retirees,
Steven Hall, is coaching Henley in Div 1, was anounced Friday night
Tim Inkster is playing at Henley too.
Duncan is apparently heading back to the country.
Rugulo was told he is not a required player.

Reserves runner Dutchy Holland to Henley as well as a few others perhaps.

Not sure about Hier being drafted, he tried out at Richmond last pre-season and was told he was too slow and not tall enough. But he is one of the best defenders and toughest players going around in the SANFL

Petrenko will go, his pace alone will ensure that. He is a bit like an Alwyn Davey.
Fairclough might go, is a brilliant player who will only improve. Just his height goes against him.

that rule was brought in after some smarta*se from Streaky Bay nominated for the draft as a joke and when there was no or nominal registration fee a few years ago

No I would play lee if Lidsey retired .But he needs work over summer Lee that is .
