As a west supporter im very happy with the draw

Sides we play 3 times
Souths
Norwoods
Ports
Centrals

The only negative in how they plan the draw is
1 We play Norths (Round 11 Sat June 14th)
2 We play Norths (Round 23 Sat Sept 6th)

Surely we should play Norths, the last of the 8 sides we play after 2 byes

Thanks heaps Phil from someone who is Interstate, much appreciated!
Great draw, North only having 2 Sunday games. Still 2 too many but an improvement on 2007.
The SANFL got the rivalry round right in 08 and the state game should be great at Norwood.
Boo to Port and Glenelg for making us play on a Sunday and a bigger boo to Sturt for a Monday game.

Not sure that the dogs have anything to complain about at all - closer inspection reveals 2 six day breaks, with the rest being 7 or 8 day breaks (excluding byes, obviously).

Who we play, where we play and how long since we last played someone is largely irrelevant.

So we play South once for the year, early on?? But play Sturt, West, Glenelg and Eagles all three times??

Interesting. Hopefully can get to a couple now.

Norwood have been booted out of the SANFL by that stage.

Norrwood have the bye that weekend (not North)

Cant complain too much.

i thought south would have had more sunday games, I thought the whole idea was to attract those that are involved in the local SFL on the sat to go on a sunday

Yes, that's what I would have thought. Seems a little odd to do away with the idea after just one year, a year in which home crowds were up.

No complaints from me.

More games at the home of Footy, Unley and we at least have home games at Unley after Round 16, unlike the 2007 draw.

Jack has previously said that he did not want his boys to play on Sundays, he believes this should be a relaxation day for footballers, doesn't like his players to be on edge all weekend.

Is that the same Jack who sacked a fitness coach at Port Adelaide because the fitness coach wanted the players to stop and have a drink of water in extreme heat, during pre-season training? He has mellowed in the last few years then.

SUREly the growth of the club is more important then players have sunday as their day of rest. I mean if crowds were up with the home sunday games, surely the club would try to keep the same amount if not increase it further.

Fantastic draw IMO for Centrals.

- The Centrals v Port should get close to 10 000.
- Interesting that Centrals v Norwood in round 3 is at night (albeit at Hamra Homes Oval) given the crowd problems when these sides play each other at night (hopefully it will prove that the crowd problems are a Coopers Stadium issue).
- As I mentioned in the other thread, with the anti Vic v AS sentiment, the Centrals v Eagles game could be marketed as a 'real rivalry' game and boost the crowd.
- anzac day at Hamra Homes is good, though I would have preferred it to be Friday night.
- Centrals byes well positioned.
They don't keep me here because I'm gorgeous and 5'10

Not happy with two clashes with Power games, especially one is the Maggies marque game of the season, v Norwood at Alberton. Surely its not hard not to have Port v Port clashes.

Of course its a Coopers Stadium issue and nothing will happen at Hamra. Norwood serves Coopers, Elizabeth serves WE. If you serve good beer, people drink more, meaning people get drunk more.
