Just like 2002 and 2006.

It was only your reference to 2002 and 2006 that made me realise you were talking about Central, I honestly thought you were talking about the Bays as they're such a superpower now. :?

I wouldn't rate North with Sturt or the Eagles as at least those clubs have done something this decade and I don't remember North being talked up.
But if you're going to bracket the Bays with North, Sturt and Eagles Im amazed, one finals flurry in recent years and suddenly their supporters are ranking them up there with clubs that consistently make the finals and have all played in Grand Finals.
Crikey!

Ben Moore is a huge loss for the Bays IMHO. Maybe not the most skilful player but he'd have to be up there in the 'inspirational leader' stakes and could certainly turn a game with the sheer amount of possessions and running off the ball he got through.

Write his absence from the team off at your peril as Glenelg will struggle to replace him both as a player and as a leader.

Moorey is a huge loss we need Moore like him. The ins and outs will mean didly squat if we don't show the same work ethic and hunger for the contest we showed in most games last year. As soon as we think start thinking that we've going OK, we'll struggle.

However I know for a fact the club has upped the training this year (third year of a three year development) and players are being moniterd closely for aerobic power (the coach ain't satisfied with last years times) so a fitter GFC could well be on the cards
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Does the coach accept some of the blame (at least) for this?
Its not as though he's starting out this year.

Yep some/most clubs up the training but do they get the results???

Training harder isn't necessarily training smarter especially if you are coming off a low base.

An errant kick from Simon Feast from 20 metres out , puts the Bays right up there , as a force to be reckoned with .
Time trials, recruits, gee we are in Jan , No need to watch comedy on TV, this beats anything.

Must be problems with teh education system up North, no Bays supporters has said anything about winning games and being a force on this thread, only the Doggies fans....

We're under no illusions that flags are won in January or that there are any ticks in the W column.

All we've said is that we are well placed to improve and that we are no worse of personnel wise compared to last year. Nothing about any confirmed improvements we'll know that in about seven months time.

You might want to learn how to spell THE before having a go at education systems!

PS I know quite a few Dogs fans that don't live up North. Crikey, Ive never lived north of the Torrens in my life and look who I follow!

You've said improved, the title says contender, you finished in the five last year - i reckon that could be constituted as saying premiership threat....if you wanted to read it that particular way of course...
