the bloke can coach no doubt, but his (from afar) demeanor is the key & most humans can take it (verbal) for a while but after hearing the samething for a few years, it would end up driving most blokes insane & i think this is why south unravelled, pymans stlye of coaching/motivation works for only a short time these days yes it worked all the time 50 years ago but it doesn't work now, this will get settled out of court, i think the article is just pushing for the quicker solution

If the club was stupid enough to sign the bloke to a massive $107,000 contract after only playing finals football once, they deserve whats coming to them.
No coach in the SANFL is worth that sort of money, the whole board should be sacked.
I would of thought the average payed coach would be getting $50,000.

They had him commentating while he was coaching South.......

Have not seen him since.

I think Pies dug his own grave with the South playing group.....to totally ignore players and not speak to them to say where they went wrong in their game...well, you got a problem!!! :?
Is out of change.....thanks Cambridge Clarrie!!!

Yep, Im aware of at least 3 coaches who have commanded close to that on full time contracts.
If Jars was full time and not part time he'd be around that mark too.

Oh come on Booney, that's being too simplistic surely.

Pymans job was to coach. Coaching alone isn't going to ensure success. Players ability, backroom staff, the directors all have to contribute to success.

The guy had a contract. South, from what I understand, renaged on that contract and unless they have some preformance relate clauses in that contract, they are stuffed.

I would suggest they didn't have any performance clauses in there or surely thay would have invoked them at the time, and moved him out legitimately Even if they did have them, again from what I understand, it wouldn't do them any good now anyway.

I dont think it is too simplistic.Coaching, sure,it does not ensure success, but it is what he was hired to do.

I wonder if the Workchoices legislation will have any impact on the time the contract was signed and the time he was fired?
