Am I the only Sturt fan old enough to remember the '78 GF?

I wasnt old enough MrAuthor, but 83 I remember. That was bad enough. Michael Graham starred for us and an emerging Peter Motley played his heart out but westies had Luders, Meuret, Lindner, Smith and Morris who all stared and played their heart out. No excuses that day however if Neil Craig, Andrew Downes, Chris Radbone and Darryl Smith were available and Gary Ford with Tim Peach were not carrying injuries we might have got a bit closer
But it was more than a victory for Greece. It was a stirring example to free people throughout the world of what a few brave men can accomplish once they refuse to submit to tyranny.

Best win was at Alberton in 67 when Chessell kicked a late goal to get us over the line. I was 13 and nearly got beaten up by a group of old 'ladies' wearing B&W jackets. Prior to that it was the 65 GF when we hit the post near the end only to loose by 3 points, later the 78 GF, and all looisng GFs.

Worst game was in 88 against Glenelg near end of season. Rumours were around about Keane's non renewal and the players showed their support.
