Two time premiership player (in the SANFL) and SOO player in 1991, yep a Dud

By your own criteria I think you'll find he played more games than Mr Lynn. FWIW I wouldn't classify Lynn as a Dud either, he played good footy, like Douza did, when he got his opportunities

Domenic Fotia - remember thinking how quick and good he was as a 17 yr old with Torrens, then he went to Carlton and never heard of him again until I saw his name for Glandore about ten years later.

Michael Raidis got drafted in 1995 but never played a game, Benny Moore wouldn't have played more than 10 games in about 3 years at Richmond. Shannon Corcoran probably played the same amount in 8 years on various AFL club's lists.

Mind you better to try and fail than to not try at all.

Lynn played about 30 games from memory and looked OK in a few games for Carlton, he went to Carlton from the Bears and apparently is a cousin to Michael Voss

David Kernahan played 50 games for Carlton

Somehow cracked it for 6 AFL games for Melbourne in Balme's last coaching year of '97.
Might have played one or two league games for us but I wouldn't be surprised if it was none.
Went up to Mt Lofty in the Hills after that and didn't exactly set the world on fire up there either.

So Polley never played a cracker?

Cheers REB, I knew I could rely on you to bring up this old chestnut...

Read Barrasi's autobiography circa 1995 co written by P Mcpharlin, Barrasi states that if Cornes had stayed at North Melbourne and had been prepared to stay as a permanent Forward pocket instead of R/Rover that he wanted to be, they wouldn't have lost the Prelim to Collingwood and then who knows.......

Barassi basically says that if it wasn't for their difference of opinion Cornes would have cut it at the VFL level, maybe not as good as Russell did that year, but he definately wasn't a Dud. North wanted him to stay but Cornes wanted to go home and lead Glenelg to 7th in 1979

Maybe you are thinking of Sam Smart......

IF IF IF..don't waste your time saying if to a Cats fan Tassie  Er..Sam who LOL.

For some reason Geelong chose David Welsby from Sturt in 1988 - never understood that decision !! Or Jay Viney by Melbourne the year before.

Shannon Corcoran was named in the 21 for the Brisbane Bears (as they were then) for their 1996 preliminary final clash against North Melbourne but was yanked by Northey in favour of someone else (can't remember who) about an hour before the match. Very unlucky and you wouldn't wish it upon anyone. Who knows, his career may have turned out somewhat different if he had played that day.

To be technical - Lynn went to Carlton from Centrals.

He came to the Dogs from Brissy and then was drafted again if my memory's correct.
