Umm Bays by 14 goals and we didn't go flat out.

i.e kane rested most of 2nd half, some forwards pplayed on ball to give them extra fitness, Fisher and Grima eased back into it - didn't play full games. Mouse had 50% game time.

Torney didn't play for South other SOuth supporters may be able to say who else was missing.
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

ben warren didn't play for south either

i thought we showed more improvement again this week & looked reasonably sharp & were first to the ball on most occaisions, south were obviously experimenting a fair bit as were we, but i think them being 2nd to the ball on most occaisions would be the thing that clay wouldn't be happy with
i thought secret groups were a thing of the past, well not on websites anyway

Not the most amazing performance by the panthers, second to the ball for the majority of the match. Our midfield was smashed and we really struggled to get some meaningful play in the first half. The second half showed more promise and the players seemed to be instructed to play on at all cost, and they definately looked better.
At the end of the day it was a trial match and when 2 points are up for grabs I would think we could play alot better.
Next week against the roosters players will be playing for positions in the league side, and with the reserves side showing signs of improvement some players in the league side will want to lift their game!
With Torney and Warren available we will be stronger, and one player who played in the ressies on the weekend who should get a crack in the league side this weekend is Jak kennedy Hunt.He looks like he could slot in well into the league side up forward.
Glenelg looked good and although very early days, they should be right up near the top again.
Looking forward to a better more intense effort against the roosters on saturday. Not long until we face the bloods in round one so lets get a "good" run under our belt and with it some confidence!
