All discussions to do with the SANFL

I put my money down on this game for the first time ever for a SANFL game as I couldn't believe how far the Dogs' odds had drifted. It's a pity I didn't put more down imho!!!

Not much change early in the last quarter.

Did the same for the Eagles game on sunday. It's at Woodville - why on earth are the Magpies SUCH short odds to win!??!?!

Made no sense that at all. North on a wet adelaide oval after a 5 day break. What did they think was going happen??

Quote of the night from the 5AA commentators:

"Schell is giving Shane Schubert a Shellacking"

The crowd is disappointing: the figure quoted is 3506.

The 29 people who made crowd predictions of this game on footysa.com (http://www.footysa.com/forums.php?op=view&num=47&fid=5149) all predicted crowds of above 3900, with most of them above 5000.

Actually it's at Thebby, and officially a neutral game.

Final Score
CD 19 . 19. 133
NA 9 . 11 .65

I mentioned in my earlier post during the week, I was concerned at NA style of footy, and whether it would stand up in finals, for those who wrote the dogs off for 2006 (after 5 rounds ) I would be interested in your thoughts

Another step forward tonight, their is stil plenty of improvement, we will only get fitter and better......

Here we come

Heya guys,
Plenty of stories to tell from the game but I'll get the pics happening and give a bit more info.
If North's injury list looked ordinary before tonight it looks terrible now.
Did several counts and came to the conlusion that North only played with 17 players for most of the second half on the ground, I don't remember that happening for a long time.
NO excuse though as Dogs were at least a 10 goal better side in the first half.
Talk to yas soon.

Tonight's side is the most hard-working Centrals outfit I've seen so far.

Unfortunately, it didn't turn out to be the spectacle that everyone came to see..! North are a better side than that. I was

disapointed, like many others..! Norths first night game, a 5 day break, 17 fit players.

The dogs have the Roosters measure the last few years..?

When the Dogs come to play they are good..! Night games are not a measure..! Footy, played on Saturday afternoon is the

measure..? Adelaide oval is a picture. The Roosters will get better. The Dogs will too.

2006 is the year of the spectator. Port, North, Glenelg, Eagles, Centrals, Norwood.

SANFL is the winner...! Get to the games....!

I also didn't think the Dogs would win.....!
Smile :)

It's only Money $$$ :)

What is happening to our SANFL guys...

Injuries aside which are killing North plus playing unfit players (cue Gill and Weatherley!!! plus see my post on The Roost as it is too long winded to post on here!), Centrals were tougher harder, quicker etc and embarassed North who still are a long way off being a serious chance this year based on what we served up tonight.

Take nothing away from Centrals who didn't let us get into the game at any stage because Centrals have the mental edge over North and we just get intimidated out of the game then get pushed aside like soft little first gamers - will we ever learn when we play them!

No matter how much we recruited, our money couldn't buy what we really need - a steely resolve that the dogs have developed and put them where they are. The big test for North will be to maintain it's sport in the 5 let alone worrying about the double chance this year because the way the comps shaping and with our injuries - we may well slip out over the next 4 games and if anyone says otherwise then they are on drugs!. The proof was there tonight for all to see!

God help us next week against Port!!!

I would like to say North prove me wrong but our injuries are not going to allow us a fair chance at this stage. :(

P.S. Now let me hear a Centrals supporter tell me their injury list from Round 1 to now hurt them more than North's?
