North vs Port this week

All discussions to do with the SANFL

Postby pipers » Fri May 12, 2006 10:44 pm

OK, in theory Port should win this game by quite a bit.

The entire North squad (and Prospect and most surrounding suburbs seemingly) are unavailable through injury.

We've got Maric back, a host of Power players and ex-AFL stars, Fos is back from the other side to coach the team and we have clearly been breaching the salary cap for years.

In theory we will piss it in...

In reality, I'm expecting a close one and hope that a HUGE crowd turns up, and that there is no trouble.

Bring it on!

There will be no trouble if "dicks" like you don't walk into the middle of the Grog Squad bar and make stupid comments like your opening line! If so fatal bring your funeral plan with you!

Please note: This is a non threatening "piss taking" post because fatal's quick wit would slay us all in a split second!!!

See u tommorow but I'm afraid it won't be as close as you are "suggesting" because seriously on paper the two sides are mis-matched and Port should win comfortably. :(

I'll take on anyone at Prossie tomorrow drebin.

Bunch of crippled has-beens anyway.

And the supporters aren't much better either.

PS: This is also a non-threatening piss-take and hopefully what you were after.

Well done North, top win against the odds.

I'll have to check it out on the ABC2 replay during the week.

Great win North, glad the North players had more belief in their abilities than you did Drebin.

Strike me pink ol son, you gave em up for dead, I hope a few of them gave you the cold shoulder in the clubrooms after the game for you publicly doubting their ability to win games with all the other "stars" out.
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

drebin

last week you were predicting doom and gloom and for the cocks to lose their next 4 or 5 games, when will people learn, you can recruit talent but not desire, talent will only get you so far, desire will get you where you want to go

Dissapointing result. You could sense a big change in momentum at about the 20 minute mark of the third quarter. We tried about five times to clear it out of defence and it just came back in again, and then Ladhams kicked that goal on the siren.

Our midfield and forward line was a complete shambles in the last 45 minutes or so. North found so many loose players forward of the play it wasnt funny.

Great comeback win to North...disspaointing result for Port. Thought the crowd was dissapointing. Was expecting a few thousand more than what seemed to show up.

The return bout when both teams hopefully have the 14-15 players that couldnt play today will be interesting. Ill write up a review later.

Seemed to be cruising in the third quarter, then...

BAM!

Eight goals to one.

Game over.

I thought you guys had it to in the 3rd when you got 3 to 4 goals up, but thats footy, things change so quickly, I was posting during the match and at that stage I was just hopeful we wouldn't cop a huge flogging.
