As a south supporter since 1977, I know how you feel (at 10, I cry all the way home from the 79 Grand Final) but this is the time for us to stick by the Club cause there not alot of us and they need our support.
While I can't see alot of games as I am in Victoria, I will be over for 3 games in June, wearing the jumper with pride (a little stretch but with pride).
My wish for the club is that we can find someone who had some past association with the club and lead our club with passion and lift the spirit of the players and the supporters. This is what lacking in the club. We get alot of people from other clubs coming in (ie Graham Cornes, Rick Davies, Don Scott, Ken Sheldon, Greg Anderson, etc) but is the club ready important to them? It is a club without passion.
We may be down now but it going to make the time when we do succeed, so much better. I remember the feeling when we beat Norwood after losing those 20-odd games. I remember Gordon Gatti doing laps of Footy Park after each goal we kick. I also remember running on the Oval after Darren Harris kicking the goal to beat Port.
Imagine what the premiership will feel like.
I am still a Believer. I still love the Club. I would not change it for the world.
