Eagles team taken from Adelaide Now:

Eagles
F: Goldsworthy, Hill, Lane
HF: Thompson, Welsh, Geddes
C: Rowntree, Powell, Cheep
HB: Rimington, McKenzie, Jarrad
B: Allmond, Greiger, Daniel
R: Parry, Cicolella, Lewis
Int: Giuffreda, Hicks, Hoban, Wright
In: Giuffreda, Hoban, Daniel, Lane, Hicks, Wright
Out: Treeby (hamstring), Guilhaus, Banner (omitted), Broadbent, Salter (Power)

What puzzles me is that Schulz was omitted from the Power but isnt named for the Eagles above. Salter was not named by the Power but is shown above as being an "out" to the Power? Can anyone explain this?

Well you'd expect both Schultz and Salter are playing then.

I expect Rowe to have 2 standing him on Sunday.

No it confused me as well Squawk .some talk the power will rest Schulz I'm not certain if they will or wont.
Eagles have brought back in a small forward in Lane hoping he and Goldsworthy will work in tandem.Wright was a ball magnet in the seconds win last week.Every time he went off the ball for a rest Centrals won the ball .Very hard to say but he has earned a spot well done Wright :D .Same applies to Daniel he has earned a recall well done again.
And if he plays a big welcome back to Giuffreda must be two years since his last game .He had an operation preseason for his ostitis pubis(spelling sorry) .Have watched his progress since November 09 and his rehab .
Hopefully if Hoban plays he will offer something as a second ruckman .A part of the game we have lacked the last two weeks.

Apparently the answer is that the Power don't like to have their emergencies named to play in SANFL sides.

How many AFL players are domiciled with the Eagles these days? Must be a dozen or so?

Are you talking about the 2 AFL clubs or all AFL clubs? There are about 23 on all AFL lists including rookies.

Pre the rookie draft this year we had 1 more player at Port Power.
After that we now have I think 15 players at the two clubs .7 Power 8 Crows including Dawson and Thompson who are rookies.
currently playing in the league( if they all play sunday ) Salter ,Schulz and Thompson.
Seconds this week Jackie is rumoured to be returning and Dawson .Redden is injured may return next week against Port.
On the injured crows list are Burton , Knights,Hentschel,Vince one would assume sometime this year they will return through the Eagles.
Only 3 of the AFL listed players were not recruited from the Eagles .

How many at Norwood?

There are a few, but not sure whether there is as many as a few years ago. Seem to have more Port players than Crows these days, and it could just be a perception given these players are the ones that are on the periphery of Power selection most weeks - Salter, Scultz, Broadbent, and Banner (a few weeks ago anyway).

I think only the 1 these days (Will Young), which I think is a good thing as we were far too reliant in recent years on AFL listed players being available to us.

A-la Centrals, imho clubs should always have a squad of their own that's good enough, with any returning AFL player just adding icing to the cake .. Hopefully we're heading in the right direction to achieve that.
