Love the 5RPH show on thursday nights.
db,ck31,ph,doug robbo and troy on the switchboard
give a splendid service and promotion of local footy.
I listen to every show and the station and the lads do
a lot better than the other stations.

Keep up the great work lads.

It's not boring maddog - did you hear the spray wedgie copped? It was over the top and unecessary.

Sturt1 - way off the mark READ my comments (and compliments in the last bit) and where did I say I could do it better???

The Monday morning show IS chockers with crap music though

I must admit I thought the segment was a bit unprofessional. If it was Wedgie's post they were refering too I think he's been a bit harshly treated. And I tuned into the show to hear about SANFL footy not some gripe against casual internet banter (lets all admit it - these sites are fun but posts dont generally carry too much credibility and are nothing to get all worked up about). Anyway play-on.

Smithy emailed me back and advised it seems it was definately in regard to my comment made on July 10:
"Both stations do a great job, I love the Monday morning SANFL re-cap show on 5RPH BUT I do have a bone to pick with Smith or Phil as it always seems like there's 20 minutes of 70s/80s music and only 10 mins of discussion!"

As I said in an email to Smithy, my post was made in jest and was meant as a compliment, it was actually made on the morning Paul Blandis was having technical difficulties with the phone and probably had to play a bit of music to either fill time or try and fix the phones."Smith" definately was a typo although I'm not sure why that would upset him.

Its definately still there and not deleted but from his emails Smithy doesn't seem an internet genius so I'll accept he was mistaken. Its a pity he didn't follow it up before casting a few false aspersions online last night but that's life. As you said sus, play on.

Seriously Wedgie , Smith or Smithy (let's not upset the poor old dear!) owes you an apology - let's see if he has the guts to do that rather than use his radio forum for his "spit". Also calling you a liar was way over the top and you are correct, he should have got his facts correct before shooting his load! (although he is no orphan there at times we all do it but not on public radio though!). Another apology is also in order for the poor attempt at character assassination. If not, I'm sure going to tell him next time I happen to see him if thinks people hide behind "nicknames".

That dickhead Blandis also owes you an apology for his "gutter" humour re his comment about you pulling your pud!

I was critical of the 5RPH call of the South v Port game, but I stand by what I said. If someone wanted to contact me about it they could, but overall the people on this site are complementary of 5RPHs work.

I don't need Van Halen's 'Jump' at 7:30am on a Monday morning!
