Ask Sudjai Cook what he thinks of the Gowans.

Ask the Norwood football club what they think of Cook.

Have to agree there. As a Rooster supporter, I bumped into one of them last year at the local butcher and had a great chat to him. Seemed a very good guy who also enjoyed the chat about SANFL football.

Yeah in agreeance here too ... Bumped into them at the Alma a few years back and after unsuccessfully persuading them to transfer across to the Legs I enjoyed a good chat with them over a few drinks, excellent, down to earth lads!

And for the times that they might "cross the line" on the field (every team has players who in instances do this anyway), it's worth taking note of the courage that they always display ... I remember watching James run with the flight of the ball one night at the Parade years ago and thought "Oh this is gonna be ugly" ... There was some pretty solid contact but he never waivered and took one of the more courageous marks I've seen...

Don't knock the Gowans - they have 5 flags each have each been BOG in a GF and both played for SA. When they pull on a guernsey they go out to win and give 100%. As far as suggesting that they cross the line - everyone makes the odd mistake but they generally play hard honest footy. They could not be seriously compared to some of the thugs who have pulled on guernseys over the years. Off the field they are friendly and approachable. Any critisisms are just sour grapes.
We used to be good :-(

I'll agree with the above lads, I bumped into Chris Gowans one night a couple of years ago at the General Havelock and he's a great night. Mrs Wedgie thought he was tops too!
