Until, they count supporters from each team at the gate, we don't know how any teams supporters really travel.

Yes how hard would it be for them to count which supporters go for what team? The guys on the gate have 2 clickers, as you walk in they ask "who do you follow?", okay thats a click for the away side etc etc. That would be a great stat and then once and for all we can see what supporters attend what matches

So what would the Norwood fan at Adelaide Oval for Port V Sturt last week have said?
If you want to go quickly, go alone.

If you want to go far, go together.

Just goes to show, no matter where they are on the ladder, Port Adelaide was, is and always will be the biggest show in the SANFL.

Port fans travel better than any other side.

Worst offender - Norwood (historically the worst).

It's the reason for Port v Norwood games at the Parade you might get 6,000 - 8,000, and the equivilant game at Alberton youu might get 5,500 - 6,000.
Why?
Because Norwood fans don't travel.
This season Port have the best away games crowds..fact.
North, Centrals and Glenelg aren't far behind either.

I too agree that Port away crowds are somewhat inflated in recent times as the home team fans come along with the anticipation of beating the once all conquering Port Adelaide. Mostly West, South and North I would think.

North have the best representation at Alberton, even with traffic issues ;) , Glenelg and surprisingly West too.

Port fans typically travel well to Richmond, Norwood and Unley.

Port to win in a close one imho.

No matter the result the minor premiership will come down to the following week against Norwood while Ports season is on the line and needing a win on their home deck to play finals i think they will get up.

With Central, Eagles and Glenelg to come, this one is very important for confidence.

And congrats to Josh and Mrs.Thurgood on the safe arrival of the little bloke.

The Ranga has been excellent for you blokes, you would think he was Port born and bred the way he goes about it.

Is this because North has always had the best record at Alberton, it has won nearly twice as many games there as any other club. This might explain the see of red that is always in the outer at Alberton, but doesn't explain your disdain for North.
