I wonder if O'Hara will actually start in ruck this time, instead of hiding at full forward? Who's gonna give him the black eye? Bamford?

I think O'Hara will be the least of the Eagles worry.

Since when was Perrie a full blooded Eagle.
He might have played 1 game in the reserves.

Nice to see S. Hill play his first reserves match this week. Can still play in the 17s.

I have to spell it out some times, dont I?

My sarcastic point was that the Eagles would be a better chance if Perrie was in North's side.
Hence as he's out its an out for the Eagles.
Get it? :?

lol not a Perrie fan or is it just better for team balance? Some Eagles fans may say Bock is an out for the Roosters so it might even up in the end!

All of the above, the guy's a big sook and as unprofessional as they come IMHO.

Way to go Wedgie
a SANFL highlight for myself and my son was a game against North in Jarmans first year I think it was and Skipworth tackled Perry held him by one arm !! There was Perry dragging Skipworth along and finally the ump called holding the ball.
And i agree with Aerie re Bock if the ball is below knee level he is history !!

Would that Perry be former North player Devon Perry? Spell check maybe?

Seriously you quoted the text with the correct spelling of Perrie but then proceeded to get it wrong yourself - failed cheating and copying at school perhaps?

Ok you found me out Drebin I can not read type spell or cheat

Oh and go you Eagles

And he did this when ? I think you guys are making big red into some kind of FERAL wrong club for that mate !!
Will O'Hara be in the ruck at the first bounce this match or will he be hiding at FF or his best position bench warming ? And Wedgie I read somewhere your comments in another post what you think of his rucking ability .

Latest news is that Perrie and Skipworth aren't in the Crows final 22.

Bugger, that's 2 ins for the Eagles (surely an explanatioin isn't necessary now??)

Skipworth is a huge in for us if that's true. I do rate Perrie as a player, but if North drops a small for Perrie, I'll be happy. Too many "big" cocks, spoils the broth. I doubt Wakelin would've been in the 21 anyway so I'd say North would still need to drop one of Alleway, Koops, Hargraves, Hudson, O'Hara, Schubert, Walker or Gill for team balance.

There is a small chance they will take Skippy and Sarge out of the SANFL just incase some Crow lads dont pull up tomorrow. Thats what i read in the paper anyway. If Skippy does play its a massive in for the Eags, he is a star at SANFL level.

None of those players will be dropped. Koops will probably play off the bench. Walker doesn't get played as a big man even though he could.

Walker can play as a big or small really, hes pretty damn versatile. I hope Perrie does play and has a blinder against the Eages.

An interesting fact that I'm suprised hasn't been mentioned about this game is North haven't lost a match at any other SANFL team's home ground since Rd 22 2004 againt the Bays, almost 2 years ago!
Pretty incredible really.

What I've heard is Bock, Skipworth and Perrie are all due to be held back from SANFL action 2morrow just in case of any late changes to the Crows line-up for Sunday.

41 touches last week in a losing side. Yeah he's a star. The guy is just awesome and will certainly wreak more havok tomorrow if he plays. I'd be expecting at least another 30 + touches. I just don't know who North could match up on him.

DO IT FOR JUMPER

Image

North Adelaide coach Andrew Jarman faces a red-hot contest fitting of a top-of-the-table clash against fired up Woodville-West Torrens at Woodville tomorrow.

He wouldn't dare suggest a Roosters win was likely because nothing separates these teams in ability. Style is the contrast.

It was similar 42 years ago when the always flamboyant North played Woodville - which merged with West Torrens in 1990 to become the new Eagles - in its maiden league match in April 1964. That heritage will be recognised by the Eagles wearing replica "Woodville" guernseys tomorrow. In '64 the newcomers had everything to gain and a lot to learn. Despite losing by 39 points, the clash launched a host of new stars on SANFL football, including Peckers skipper Bob Simunsen, who played football and cricket for SA.

"It took a while for a few to realise they were league footballers," Simunsen, 65, said of the first of his 147 league games. "We had some good sides but we couldn't win enough games back then."

Being overawed won't happen tomorrow. The Eagles belong at this level but they know they played like novices when thrashed by South Adelaide last week.

The Eagles regained midfield pace with Chris Knights in and valuable options with tall utility Paul Stewart and defenders Brent Frewen and Nick Salter in the squad. The Crows claimed Nathan Bock and Hayden Skipworth.

Coach Ron Fuller knows this will be a tough grind.

"We've got to get back to being competitive at every contest," he said. "North is not dissimilar to South - if they're allowed to run they can be dangerous (so) we've got to be first to the ball." North named Shaun Gatto, Kingsley Walker, Andy McIntyre and Dan Wakelin in a 23-man squad, missing Ian Perrie (Crows) and Tim Martin (knee). It will be attacked at the body by the Eagles, who average 34 tackles a game - although they laid just 22 on Sunday against the Panthers.

They also have the league's second-tightest defence, conceding 89.4 points on average (North 93.4) but North is the most attacking outfit around (122.6 ave, Eagles 111) which underscores Woodville-West Torrens' need for speed.
