Maybe a bit harsh on Gags Jim - he came back, did his time in the 2s, got a bucketload of the footy every game, made the league team, and did his knee after just 10mins. I trust the coach / selectors to pick the best team each week on form, not reputation, so the more we have to pick from and the more competition there is for spots, the better for the club all round I reckon.

Maybe but I just dont think Gags offers us anything more in the midfield than we already have, his lack of pace is a concern, thought AhChee gave us some genuine speed today

I thought it was a good response this week to an ordinary game last week.

Our bodies were just a bit bigger than the bays and we were just a bit too good over the ground.

I still rate the bays, they will get better. I think had they played in the Foxtel Cup they might have got a bit more match pratice together and might be a bit more of a challenger. Something to think about for next year perhaps.

Another big test for us next week.

Not sure I have seen a Glenelg side that disinterested. Appeared like they had arrived at the ground knowing they could not win and could not be bothered putting up any sort of effort.
I was told that several Glenelg supporters ( if you can call them that ) threw their membership cards in the bin on the way out.

Will not make the 5 on that showing.

Was this a disappointing crowd, given it was a stand alone game? No AFL in Adelaide (Port on t.v at about 4:30), two clubs in the top 5, played at Norwood Oval etc etc Even less than at the ANZAC Day game ;)
Pity about the weather otherwise maybe there would have been 6,000.

Must admit I thought it was a poor crowd also, but didn't want to upset topsy.

Round 12 League Coaches Report

It was an obvious disappointing loss to Norwood – simply put we were completely outplayed for the majority of the game.

The main reason for the loss was our inability to move the ball with speed and efficiency into our forwards. When under pressure we lacked poise and control and fell into poor habits that we will be honestly assessing this week.

Tom Lynch was positive running off half back with 23 possessions and 8-hand ball receives. Andrew Bradley, Jason Davenport and Ty Allen worked hard through the midfield.

Even though it was a hollow loss in which nothing when right for us on the day. It provides plenty of learning’s for us as a playing group. We will get better from this performance and what a better opportunity to re set ourselves than to play Centrals at home this Saturday.

3600 in the pouring rain was a great crowd.

And trying shirtfront blokes running to the interchange bench.

What a hero.
