In a low scoring match a forward kicking a handful of goals could be the difference. I'll go for a long shot in Jericho

In the early days of the Jack Oatey Medal it was often the goalkicker who won it. Kernahan, Hall, Parsons and Hart come to mind.

I had no quibble with Kernahan and Hall (other than they beat my team), but I was surprised with Parsons and Hart, neither of whom were given the best player award by the club.
