PORT Adelaide is yet to confirm its coach for next season but has re-signed 80 per cent of its playing list according to general manager Brian Leys.
A decision on whether Tony Bamford continues as coach next season was expected yesterday as the Power unveiled its new-look coaching panel.
But Port Adelaide chief executive Keith Thomas refused to guarantee Bamford would still be in charge in 2013.
``Tony Bamford is our coach,'' Thomas said.
``And we're in the process of reviewing the year. That will be resolved in the coming weeks.''
As the Power yesterday unveiled its coaching group to be headed by Ken Hinkley and Alan Richardson, Magpies manager Leys was out visiting sponsors and meeting with players.
He was due to meet with gun forward Callum Wilson about his contract last night but said 80 per cent of players' contracts were either ``done or close to done''.
Leys said Sam Gray, Aseri Raikiwasa, James Meiklejohn, Kory Beard, Matthew Rose, Luke Harder, Daniel Kulikowski, Steven Summerton and Ryan McKenzie were all contracted for next year.
Leys said the club had taken its time with re-signing players because he wanted to make sure they were determined to help the club improve.
``We've played two finals in 13 years and we certainly need to make sure the players understand that's not acceptable,'' Leys said.
``We must set high expectations.''
Asked whether it was difficult to get players to commit to the club which is yet to confirm its coach for 2013, Leys said: ``not at all''.
Jeremy Clayton is the only confirmed retirement from the team this season.
