I think the talk between Lion Nathan and Coopers fell through at the last minute in regards to selling West End product at these games.

Norwood Oval will always be the home of Coopers and no other, has been since year dot, so take it or leave it Sturt, our home our rules.

Bays play 2 of the 2012 top3 3 times (Norwood & North)
and 2 of the bottom 3 3 times (Port & South)

Get the 2 home games against Norwood & North
and the 2 away against Port & South.

So a pretty good draw.

Should enable us to secure 6th spot!!

Thebarton Oval is in Torrensville though and I don't think that was going to go to West. Relly disappointing that we don't have at least one game at Thebby.

Even with over 4,5oo for the first game against Port, I'd say the Eagles would have been lucky to turn a dollar or two profit as the one off set up would have eaten up alot of $.
That's one for the Feb. AGM though!
These days it's all about Home games and maximising your sponsors 10 times a year at least.

I thought that West got the Hindmarsh area.

West boundary went North up to River Torrens (between Holbrooks Rd in west & King William St in east) ... Hindmarsh is still in Eagles zone but Torrensville & Thebarton is not.

As a side note 2013 WAFL schedule was out yesterday .. they start March 16th, 2 weeks before SANFL.

So Sturt can not play some home games at Norwood and probably make a few bucks because Coopers are the sponsor ? Surely that is the tail wagging the dog !
The poor bloody Sturt supporters were looking forward to drinking a decent beer for a change
Make no mistake I hate Sturt with a passion but at the same time would like our Club to help out financially in any way possible. The SANFL and its Clubs should not let any Club fall over especially a Club who has contributed greatly to the competition and with a long and rich tradition like Sturt.

Meant Coopers Jim. Coopers might have a few new homes in a season or 2.
