North don't need a second strip because it clashes with no one and is a very good jumper anyway. Always liked the North jumper, very colourful looks great. Second best jumper in the country.

It makes you wonder why every club (AFL included) can't do this. :?

Because it would be too easy.

Maybe with the money they save with this jumper they can buy a decent game plan instead of the shit brand of footy they've dished up the last few years...

Most kids who go to the SANFL these days only have one jumper rather than both a home and an away jumper.

SDK the numbers are printed so no problem with the stitched in number

$10,000? Have they been getting gold stitching done?

250 would be a very high estimate. Juniors wouldn't have clash jumpers. I'd say 150 at most. Don't forget, the new jumper will cost more.

You might be right but I am sure our juniors wore the clash jumper in games last season

That's also why I said "upto $10,000".

Anyone know what the jumpers cost the club? I estimated about $40

Which kids had to have two jumpers (home and away) 10, 20 or even 30 years ago?
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Agree.
Did we have clash jumpers in this years GF ?
Clash jumpers is an AFL marketing bs tool. We don't need it in the SANFL. All clash jumpers look like shit with maybe the exception of South Adelaide.

I prefer Norths clash guernsey to the home one. Love the white with the red vee and reminds me of a lot of the pics taken of Ken Farmer in the same guernsey. Having said that the home one is improving in 2013.
2 in 1 guernsey is a great idea for kids teams and a great saving for Fans that like to buy one of each, would mean less money spent on merchandise but probably wont impact much on West as you dont see a lot of their guernseys on fans with a relatively small older based supporter group.
Be handy for people like me that always spill something or have TSG laughing beer all over me early in the day as you could just turn the thing inside out! I want one!

Depends on the print I guess.

Good idea IMO. I would think Westies would not seel too many guernseys in a season to fans, but, if the cost for them to manufacture is not much more and a fan gets two guernseys for the price (?) of one they may be more inclined to buy one.

Not good from a marketing point of view - since the fans only have to buy 1 guernsey, not 2

Not if the reversible is only available to the playing group.
It's all the SANFL's fault.

Numbers and logos aren't usually sown or ironed on these days. They're actually part of the print.

The only issue would be if a club changes or adds a sponsor mid season.
