The second game at the bay was played in very windy, wet conditions.
The first game at Noarlunga was played in glorious conditions. The only thing that was below standard, and well below standard, was the absolutely apalling umpiring by Richard Williams. If you dont beleive check the free kick stats for the second half.

The standard of umpiring in the SANFL is disgraceful. Changes need to be made even just to get it "up" to AFL standard umpiring, which recently has been far better than the SANFL standard of umpiring.

i disagree in your opinion of the umpiring, overall is a lot better in the sanfl than the afl as the afl umpires are scrutinised too much & over officiate
i thought secret groups were a thing of the past, well not on websites anyway

Generally I agree with bayman, but in the past couple of months I've noticed the umpires have over umpired the game at SANFL level. I bet once finals start, they'll do what they usually do and let everything go and never pay holding the ball. As long as they're consistent...

Oh I remember. South were four points in front after being waaaay behind. All of a sudden Scooter McGlone takes the mark of the century 25 out from goal and a free kick is plucked out of a WM's rectum and the momentum swung the other way.

In the long run the Bays had more system and getupngo from then on as our guys dropped their bundle. I don't think that will happen again.

If I had my druthers I'd druther the game an Saturday is a draw.

I was there that day Spirity and the thing that swung the game was Alvery's ridiculous attempt on goals when he got closer to kicking it under the legs of the man on the mark than over his arms, WTF was he thinking?
That would have put South 2 kicks up.

I was also at the Noarlunga game, South were about 25 points up and still had 10 minutes with a gale in the 3rd quarter. Can't believe they let that game slip.
Christ, throw in the 2 games against North when they led by over 5 goals and they could easily have 4 more wins on the board.
