The North boys have shown exceptional form in the 120 minutes they've played this year!

I reckon based on recent form, blokes like Matt Suckling and Trent Goodrem should be considered being added to the squad...

No, actually. Suckling plays in the midfield and Goodrem plays half back, on the ball, up forward - wherever he is needed...

That being said, this is how George Thring has been picked in the squad, isn't it?

Having Powell in the squad is laughable and shows how serious a game it will be

I have no idea. He was brilliant for the last 2/3 of last year and has been in our top 1 or 2 this year each game he has played so far this year. He must be included if based on form.

Powell is rapidly coming to the end of his career. Still serviceable but not capable of getting the high possessions he used to.

It should come as no surprise, especially after his Bob Quinn Medal win, that Norwood's Matt Suckling has been added to the State Squad.

My side at this stage:

F: Ainger, Wundke, Allen
HF: Beech, Kirkby, Ryswick
C: Liddle, Suckling, O'Hara
HB: Coad/Mcguiness, Ferguson, Thomas
B: Caire, Tippett, Zorzi
Ruck: Parry, Schmidt, Boyd
Int: Cross, Meikeljohn, Jarrad

Not heaps of leg speed in this side, but many consistently good players who are in good form. Would include Gordon from North and would be better if the second ruckman was an effective forward (Webb or Brooksby). Not sure on Kirby injury either, Panos probably the next marking forward to come in.

Ty Allen in your line-up - You have to be joking? If you want pace then he is not the player - I would have Matt Campbell ahead of him!

Gordon is not eligible, I think you have to have played in the SANFL for one season from interstate to be considered from memory?

Meikeljohn's hitout stats are OK. Don't think there are any ruckman in the league that are particularly effective around the ground in terms of possessions etc. so I would settle for some hitouts. Guilhaus has better numbers but hasn't played at the level for long.
Agree Allen not quick but still a very good on baller. Prefer Beech and Ryswick as permanent forwards to Campbell. If Coad is not going well then slot Mcguiness in there, wasn't sure how he was going in his comeback.
My point on Gordon was that I'd play him if he was eligible.

Based on this injury report I doubt Kirkby will play: http://www.sanfl.com.au/league/injuries/
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!
