This is the last year of his contract.

I'm not prepared to call for his head until I see the whole season, virtually the whole list has been turned over from when he took over so I think we need patience.

Are you pissed at the loss because it means you missed another rendition of yout team song out on the oval? What a fine moment in history that was.

Looks like a lock to be that way. The Bays looked like a group of young men who had endured a world record attempt for boring student lecture endurance and played dazed and confused. Talking endless crap ala Craig Neil is a slow boat to nowhere.
Stupid move really to move Mickan along, as where is the payoff for that? What was the point?
Answer, We're the Bays  and Spargo just loves watching a good old thrashing of his pussycats

Lol. I'd forgotten about that. Probably seemed like a good idea at the time, but when you do that you can NEVER lose to the other team again with enormous embarassment...

Saw todays game over here in the West on ABC SA, was looking forward to a good contest, I have been a Bays supporter since 1969 and today was a shit performance, seen some great Bays side over the years, sure we have not won too many flags but thats life as a Bay's supporter, todays side was inept at best, a few of the players are not up to league standard, too many make mistakes under pressure, we definitely don't have the talent to go anywhere for quiet sometime.

Massie has got the group of players he has wanted, but the players are clearly not interested

Maybe those players need to be dropped or need to move on.

Copying Norwood and doing the AFL +1 is ok if you can't coach and are listening to an all star assistant lineup, but how about teaching young players to just beat their opponents
Footy ain't complicated but here's another ex-AFL player who coaches straight off Fox Footy!
Mickan must be  his ass off at this mess of a club

Mickan's coaching my lad Auskick in our Eagles zone and apparently still has the coaching bug so maybe he'll get another shot in the SANFL. Apparently Goddsy wanted him on board with us but he declined.

Luke Norman is a great fit again at the Eagles as an assistant ala 2006 :)
Mickan would have been nice also, especially looking at what he was able to do at the Bays :o

Re Mickan returning to WWT - it would be difficult as a former Senior Coach of the club to return in an Assistant's role IMO.

Gotta agree with this.
Big fan of Mickan. His sacking by Glenelg is a little reminiscent of Hodgeman's. I think I recall him getting sacked for losing a grand final? Bays spent years in the wilderness after that only to be shown stability again by Mickan, who got a similar punishment.
