can we see johncock in the middle more this week? my mail is he won't play at the crows for the rest of the year and will be lucky to have a contract next year.

How can anyone say, with any authority, that 'he wont play for the Crows the rest of the year'?

What if he keeps kicking bags and the Crows keep losing. Nothing is guaranteed, both ways...

Yes, but Sanderson does not have the very final say on selection. They have a Match Committee and, as I said, if Johncock continues to put scores on board and the Crows struggle, there will be a push, regardless of their individual relationship, or lack thereof, to get him back into AFL duties, for what could well be farewell game(s).

Mate, seriously, if Johncock did not want to play AFL footy again, he would have announced his retirement by now...

I think with the Crows highly unlikely to play finals, and Johncock highly unlikely to get a contract next year, he will struggle to play another game, unless they give him a send off game.

If they cant play finals and Sando doesnt want him next season, then he must contonue to play players like Martin, Jaensch, and all the 19-23 year olds that could be at the club for the next 10 years. Nothing to be gained by playing him.

I am sure the Magpies would be happy to have him for the remainder of the season.

Is Brett Ebert a chance to play this week?

I think he would come through the reserves. No doubt they will want to monitor his game time, given it would be his first run for the year. This is assuming he is given the all clear from the medicos.

This was posted by Grand Central on the Centrals forum

'Just a heads up. There's no car parking at Elizabeth/Fremont High School this Saturday as they're removing asbestos. The paddock on the other side of the Bowling Club is available (I believe there is also a security guard on duty at the gate throughout the afternoon).'

Thanks for the heads up re parking. Hoping for a good crowd, although the weather may keep the fair weathers away.

Looks a strong side. The spine looks good with Raikiwasa at CHF and Beard at CHB.

Kulikowski on the bench?

Is he recovering from the onset of the flu last Saturday morning? Clears up why no Norwood player wanted to go within a bulls roar of him then ;)
