Great win for the Panthers and one that not many, at all, would have tipped...

I was only 79 points out on the margin (and result, of course) in my FOOT-e TIMES SA preview...

Good to see the 'Blue Swimmer' have a win in his 100th game. One bloke that has shown some loyalty to stick it out at Noarlunga...

Thank _uck!!!!! Did we need that or what!!!! Tackling and pressure was fantastic. McKay was very good and McDonald was excellent as well. Caleb Daniel throws himself in like a seasoned veteran despite the fact he is 16 years of age.
Shows what can be done with 100% effort and commitment. That sort of effort has to be the template for the remainder of the season.

I repeat what I have said all year. West Adelaide are highly over rated and will be lucky to make the finals.
No malice just stating my opinion and I think West have exceeded expectation so far this year so I guess that is a positive !

Sign Ronnie up for life ;)

On a more serious note...South produced 4 quarters of committed, pressure footy today, which made a much welcome change. Was a fairly ugly game for the most part, but we certainly ran the game out far better than the bloods.

Liddle seemed to be everywhere, Mackay was very good after a slow start and Hartigan is starting to get a lot of footy to add to his defensive performances. C. Daniel hits the footy hard and is great to watch, while another youngster Haines showed some dash. Pleasingly it was the type of performance where all players did their bit. Great to win for Crabb's 100th, and for the small number of die hards who turned up today.

Bloods appeared flat all day, and their skills were ordinary.

 Just our luck, West couldn't wait another week to play like that.

Westies only need to kick 8 goals next week to win.

Central have only kicked a total of 14 Goals the last 2 weeks with a season average of 12 goals. Not looking forward with confidence to Richmond next week especially as West have got the bad game out of their system now.

I Would love to be proven wrong Phil.

Did you expect to beat North afew weeks ago, at Prospect? Time will tell...

Anyway, as to not hijack this thread with Central talk, and to get it back to the topic at hand...

How did David McKay play for the Panthers?

Well Westies forwards are pretty unlikely to get on top as they don't have any!

I appreciate what you are saying, but 'Blue Swimmer' is what Daniel Norton, on the 5AA SANFL Show, called Brad Crabb last night when interviewing him. I apologise for my attempt at portraying someone else's attempted humor...

Trust me when I say that I have no intention of using these type of nicknames on air, when commentating. The only thing I'll probably keep doing, if he continues to be a gun in the SANFL, will be to use 'My Man Nathan Gordon' !!!
