Will be interesting to see how many magpie players move clubs, I'm guessing the majority of them would.

Or perhaps many of them will have higher standards and maintain their support for the Port Adelaide Football Club

And a Rookie listed player earns substantially more than a few hundred $$ per game.

An article in the paper today about Norwood looking to recruit a trio of delisted AFL players. However i thought they were banned from recruiting due to their salary cap breach. Can someone explain how this works?

Norwood can recruit former 'Legs players, e.g., those who have been delisted from their AFL club. Also, can recruit 3 players outside of the Norwood zone to replace the 3 home-grown Norwood boys lost to the filth at Alberton & West Lakes as a result of the AFL reserves fiasco.

So they haven't really been punished, double standards by the SANFL yet again....

Wrong again. The concessions were for ALL clubs the proposal to lift Norwood and West's recruiting ban was rejected.
Like all clubs Norwood are allowed to replace the players lost to the AFL reserves side. We can not recruit out of our area still. No change !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Plus all three players mentioned are original Norwood boys anyway!!
We won't need to go on a recruiting spree to secure the threepeat - great depth!

What concessions were for ALL clubs?
So the lifting of the recruiting ban was rejected, but Norwood are allowed to recruit three players from out of their area?
All clubs have previously been able to recruit players to cover those lost to the afl. Unless they've received a recruiting ban penalty.

We are all comforted by the fact the lettuce that the SANFL used to slap Norwood was really, really wet ..

Well Norwood were punished for the breach, but later there was a deal done over the entry of AFL reserves into the SANFL which resulted in teams being able to replace players lost because of the AFL reserves forming. Norwood still cannot recruit players from outside their zone beyond this limit.

But they can contract returning former Norwood players.

You mean the $90,000 lettuce ?
Replacing AFL listed players is a totally separate issue which brings Norwood back to where it was before.
