Better to work with the cxxxs than in opposition to them.

Just gives me the shits that every one blames Norwood which was the only club to put forward and gained some concessions when the result was a forgone conclusion.

It wasn't a foregone conclusion until you guys rolled over and did a swift backflip on your NO position. 3 NO's where all that was required.

I thoght it was ONE vote that was required. they soon changed that didnt they but hey keep on hating.

ANZAC Day was good when it was at Adelaide Oval and all the servicemen came down to the ground with their badges on after the march/lunch. I remember Eagles playing North in the mid-90's and it was a great atmosphere because of this.

To me, it has lost its gloss for a number of reasons. One, the AFL game has been marketed so much it is just about as big as the Grand Final, two, every amateur and country team seems to play on this day now and three, it hasn't been played at Adelaide Oval for a number of years.

It is annoying though, that the AFL teams seem to want to have this day now. Over-saturation. A Good Friday game between Norwood and North might be the way to go.

PS. I am talking about footy on ANZAC Day, not ANZAC Day itself. ANZAC Day is still one of the best days on the calendar for reasons outside footy.

No
South were the only club with enough foresight and balls to take on the god botherers, they deserve Good Friday games forever.
My club has never wanted to play on Good Friday so they cant jump onboard now

I'm fairly sure the AFL will not program Crows vs Power on Anzac Day. That's likely to be in the 3rd AFL round which is 3 weeks prior to Anzac Day. However I believe the Crows will have a home game scheduled.

No Whicker is talking Crows v someone else (Hawks) every year, the trade off for Port getting the 1st showdown at Adelaide Oval. And he is saying ravens v magpies as curtain raiser. Magpies would never agree but i guess the SANFL can program what ever they want

Lol or 9 nine clubs could be extinct in 5 years because of it.

SDK - I can't believe you are trying to justify Norwood's decision. Don't make them look like goody too shoes, they have done no one a favor!

Also in his comments Whicker suggested that there would be other curtain raisers to AFL games and the GF would be played on a Friday night.

To massage your conscience for jumping off?

It is a Black Guernsey with a White Prison Bars and a Magpie Emblem on the chest.

Pretty much what the PAFC has been wearing since 1904.

Until your club, Collingwood threw a hissy fit and petitioned the AFL to force a change.

Any other clubs in the AFL wear the exact same colours with virtually the same guernsey?

North Melbourne and Hawthorn have a guernsey design that's closer to Collingwood than Port Adelaide's Prison Bars.

There are 3 clubs wearing Blue and White.

And the AFL backed Collingwood's stance, then allowed the Cows in wearing the same colours as Fitzroy.

Been real makes a good point as there's so many different shades of black and only one sort of blue.

Way to "cherry pick" Wedgie.

Actually Reebok, Nike, Puma and ISC all have different versions of what they consider Black.

Exactly.

Cherry pick? The term's nit pick.
According to you, he's picking on the minutiae of the topic, not low-hanging fruit.
