Even though Im not BPBRB, I was at training on Friday night, no it hasn't been confirmed but its pretty common knowledge amongst the people that were there as to who is lining up and who isn't, I've purposely kept it quiet as I didn't want to be seen by the club as giving any info away.

I'm confident at least 2 if not 3 or 4 big names will be out of the squad that were named but I'm confident that the players left will be able to do the job.

It should be a ripper of a game and the odds for the game should be a lot closer (and probably would be if the bookies knew what I and others there on Friday night know).

Keep an eye out for both sides of the North banner tomorrow, could be described as controversial but enteratining!

Hear a whisper last night from someone tied up with Centrals last night that schell and Chris Gowans wont front, if that is the case a couple of big outs for a final

And what a great day it was!

Woo hoo - enjoyed watching from the lounge at home and seeing the Doggies Dream Machine roll on.

The Cocks sucked! erm pardon the pun.

Good games by Adrian Wilson and Elijiah Ware especially.
Westhoff was excellent, as was O'Sullivan when the game was hot.
Currie was great, Switala to, the Gowans boys don't like finals at all do they?
And of course - Schell. Good game up forward. Took advantage of the good amount of ball directed to him.

It was great to see the less heralded Doggies boys step up.

For the Roosters - Schubert, again I may be biased, deserved BOG for his efforts in the back half. While Howard never gave up and Gill put his hand up. Hudson was okay as well.

Comment of the day? A Gowans runs off the ground for a break in the 3rd and tells Mark Soderstrom "Wintle hasn't had a kick". Cheeky but true, should've added Bamofrd's name to that also.

Well that was crap. Unfortunately I knew North's lineup on Friday night so had already reserved myself for a loss.
Now for an hour of sorting through photos and posting them.
Back later...

With the quality of player that was out of your side today any other team would be hard pressed to even put up as gallnt an effort as your boys did today. Your still a quality side wedgie and I'm sure you'll bounce back and make an impact on this seasons finals.

Granted North were missing key players, but how good were Central?!

Four outstanding quarters of tough, hard and skillful footy. Some of the delivery by players such as Switala was first class. Schell showed no signs of his groin injury and Cowan was close to best on ground. Wilson looks fitter now than when I saw him earlier in the season and was another close to best on ground. Thomas was another who has improved since I last saw him. I shouldn't be surprised, but I really did not think Central were quite as good as what they showed today. Next weeks game will test the Eagles and show whether we have improved.

North seemed to play a couple of players back which allowed Central to use those extra players to shut down the midfield run of North. Bamford and Ryswyck again went missing when the going got tough. Coulter was a big loss and his injury didn't look good. I thought Gill played well and tried hard all day, but the delivery to him and Alleway was very average. Not much good spending big bucks on power forwards if your midfield is not up to scratch and the defence is leaking too many goals. Thanks to O'Hara for a couple of knees in to the backs of the Gowans - they looked sore. It's a pity a few more North players didn't deliver some tough blows to soften Central up a bit for next week.

Shame that North were undermanned for this game. Would have loved to have seen both sides at full strength. Jars certainly stood by his stance of not playng players under an injury cloud. Was it the right move? Who knows?
On the other hand, Central played a number of players who were less than 100% fit and needed painkilling injections to even make it through the match. Having that match under their belt, watch them excel next week and really take it up to the Eagles.
Noticed one thing about both winning sides today - the use of ice vests. I have a feeling that neither Port nor North used them. Did this have any bearing in the heat?

It's all about numbers. Central always had extra numbers around the ball, while the North players stood back and watched from 20-30 metres away.

I recall one bit of play in the 2nd or 3rd quarter where there was a 1 on 1 on the wing. It might have been Gill treading water about 25 metres away, no one else near the two contesting the ball. If that player had of been a Central player, he would have been over there helping his teammate out.

Can someone tell me who was missing from North's side that played in the win two weeks ago?
Would be curious.
