Eagles are a Disgrace

IMO its much better that this happens to the Eagles today than in the GF, if they won today they would be comfortable that they had shaken the dogs dominence only to be sitting ducks in the GF....this way they get another crack (that they earned) and if they get past North (which I think they will) they will throw caution to the wind int he GF (as they litterally have nothing to lose when playing the dogs again!)

A good coach could use all this to his advantage, whether Fuller can do that is debatable.

What a way to win a flag though if they can do it....I have a feeling they might

Who wants to see the Dogs win by 10 goals again...?
ME :D :D I would love a Centrals v North GF though. AAMI would be absolutely alive and rocking with two very colourful & vocal supporter groups.

If we all opine strongly that we'd go to see Dogs v North, but would stay at home to watch Dogs v Eagles on the telly, do you think it would affect the performance of the umpires next week?

The GF is also on the same day as the Bathurst 1000. That will lower the crowd a bit.

Why do they bother showing up; they’re an absolute joke who year after year continue to make the finals only who are only pretending.

For the sake of the SANFL, and the Grand Final, cmon you Roosters!

As a Eagles supporter Im as frustrated as anyone. But NFC, there are 7 other teams who, based on recent performances over the past few years, are way behind the Eagles. Simple fact is all the other teams are worse!

hopefully its on tv @ Grand Central in the morning, and on tv's @ bars during the game and half time, some leaderboard updates a qtr, half and 3 qtr time would be nice to, but probably wont happen.

The entire northern suburbs would empty out to AAMI Stadium if it was Centrals vs. North. :D

This poster is a disgrace. You are a joke mate. Yes I admit we were thoroughly outclassed yet again by our finals nemesis Centrals but as a football club we are far from a disgrace and as I remember it the end margin was only 6 goals which was no different to the week before when they played North. Eagles need to and will bounce back this week and once again will play off in yet another GF & I have complete confidence that we can reverse the result of the 2SF and win this years premiership.

At least we made the finals and contest them, year after year.
Just that Central are playing better football during the same period.

What the heck is the point of making the finals year after year if you're going to get embarrassed on the big stage? If you’re satisfied with getting there and doing no damage, your club is in trouble.

I'd rather be making the finals year in year out rather than sitting watching from home come september every year.

I have refrained from commenting on this game so far this week licking my festering wounds you may say ,I have had so much flak thrown at me by other teams supporters even from a mate in Melbourne .
But I will agree yes we were a disgrace on Sunday but did we do any worse than North Adelaide the week before I think not .Not having ago at North Adelaide there but somehow Centrals change come finals time if the rest of the league could bottle it I am sure we would have a much better state league .
Lets look at what the EAGLEs did wrong they could not pressure the dogs players like they did earlier in the year, they the doggies pressured and scragged to theirs heart content . We made poor choices when going forward like kicking to Lomas and Cooper when they had two doggies players standing on them!! We tried to rely on Pasador and i am afraid he went missing or was overwhemled or whatever .And why do they keep putting inkster on the ball clearly he was to slow on sunday in the midfield but when put up forward he was a shining light .
But two big plusses our backline held the doggies (let down by onballers and forwards) and to me in a pocket at the Bradman end when Ciccia threw himself at a doggies player and stopped him getting away with the ball he believed in himself others lifted as well to little to late in that game .
Yes we were bad last sunday, this sunday we face the Roosters whoever wins must go forward and have learn't from their mistakes against Centrals in the finals .And mark my words players will be brought into that EAGLES side I am pretty sure some players in the two's are chaffing at the bit for their chance in the spotlight !!
I will end with this last statement it aint over until the fat lady sings !!!

That is a crap statement mickyj - North were no where as near as bad as the Eagles were playing Centrals plus they had a number of top line players out and lost Coulter in the second quarter to add to it. Clutching at straws if you think that!

The margin at the end of the Eagkes game was flattering to them. Any side that can't kick a goal for nearly three quarters is in trouble.

IMHO, the only reason they got back into it, was co Centrals we're completley stuffed, and had done enough, the Eags were always going to run the game out better.
