Who the first club in the SANFL to have been found to break the salary cap?

Possibly one of the most uninformed comments I've read on this forum. Well done.

Why do people go on about recruiting players? Clubs lose a lot of players to the AFL draft (especially West and Norwood in the past couple of years), and have to replace them somehow. Recruiting from elsewhere is the only way to do this.

OK BIG COIN for O'hara is as wrong as you can get.

Noticable absentee from an eagles point of view today - perhaps he can play in a reserves flag just like toia last year.

That's right. It's about the only way an SANFL club can get anywhere near the top.

89 he was probably North's best player (no great achievement granted) but it certainly wasn't his fault it was a blow out.And if you you are refering to the 93 AFL Prelim Final I suggest you have another look at the game. He is listed as being in the top 3,4 or 5 Adelaide players on the day depending on which match report you read.
On the other hand 5 Fos Williams medals would seem to indicate a guy that does "alright" in big games.
Sorry to bring facts into the arguement.

North would be hoping Jars is a 10 year man. By that, I mean he won a Magarey Medal and played in a premiership with North Adelaiude in 1987, and then won his second medal and premiership with Norwood in 1997. Next year, 2007, who knows ... premiership coach?

Pretty sure you'll find Norwood's number of players drafted in the last few years stacks up pretty well against the rest of the SANFL. Six last year alone from memory.

I really wish people on this forum would get into the habit of doing some research, or at least some thinking before sprouting off. Go back and have a look at how many players Norwood have lost in the drat over the years and you will be very much surprised. And another point to consider, have a look at how many of those players returned to the club afterwards. Some SANFL clubs have done well with players returning, others haven't.
