Those brown bags are still made from Cotton, so I'm not too optimistic...

With all those top eastern suburbs ammo clubs you would think the Redlegs would raid local recruits rather
than costly imports from interstate.

After winning the McCallum Tomkins Medal as the best player in the Under 18's competition in 2018, Kai was selected by Port Adelaide as a Category B rookie in the NAB AFL Draft. Kai went on to play 15 League matches for the Magpies, averaging a very healthy 22 disposals a game, spending the majority of his time playing on the wing.

On Kai’s signing CEO Luke Powell said “As always, we love having our Eagles juniors return to our Club. Kai had a really strong first season of League football and is probably a bit unlucky to find himself off Port’s list after just one season. Kai is determined to get back into the AFL system and we hope he is able to do so off the back of playing some quality football for our Club.”

On his return Kai said “I am very excited to come back to the Eagles. I cant wait to start Pre-Season and I am looking forward to playing with my mates again. My family and I are really excited by this opportunity and are looking forward to the season ahead."

Kai will join teammates for the first night of preseason which will commence on Monday 18th November from 5:30pm, venue to be confirmed.

Please join us in welcoming back Kai to the Club.

Good get by the Eagles - he fills an important gap in our midfield.

Does anyone know whether Foote has decided to stay with us? I'm assuming he will make a decision post the AFL draft

From Zac Milbank

“ An athletic former @southadelaidefc ruck/forward is heading to The Parade. Expect him to be announced by @NorwoodFC today, with another Panther to follow on Friday. @SANFL”

How fitting that I’m reading this at Cibo albeit at Colonnades... in my SAFC shirt no less!!
But seriously, what is happening? Every club announcing signings except South, our players going elsewhere...
I’m assuming this is Brooksby they’re talking about? Or is Knoll coming back to the SANFL? Either way I’m not happy and will be going by the club to seek answers. Someone hold me back!!

Pump the brakes. It's Cody Ellison. He found the commitment too much 3 seasons ago but Norwood have enticed him to have another go. Good footballer, better basketballer.

Knoll is playing in Sydney. Brooksby will be playing in the SANFL but not for Norwood.

Excellent recruit for Norwood .... will fit in nicely in their reserve side.

Never seen the lad play. Have heard he has some ability, but consistency might be an issue?

It has been brought to my attention that there was a slight chance I might have... possibly... overreacted....
I’m just happy I read your post Doc before I went to the club!

It appears that the Dogs may be close to nabbing a son of an AFL legend from Wagga, a quick mid who has played ressies at Sydney.

SShhh (please). I'm still "dark" from Glenelg pinching John Fidge when he was going to sign for us.

Not up to it? Does that mean the South side of 2017 was not up to it?

13 games seems indicate he is up to league standard?

Maybe Gotch was wrong?

Cody Elinson is a quality ruck forward that South have chased for the past 3 seasons for one simple reason. He can play quality SANFL standard footy. Don't underestimate his ability.
