Maybe distances ...

Pooraka Oval is 10km from Alberton Oval, but 12 1/2 kms from Elizabeth Oval ..

There was a time when the train line running next to Elizabeth oval marked the boundary between Centrals and Ports zones. Made perfect sense :shock:

And both sides were the wrong sides of the track....

The saturation of home grounds in certain areas meant that "zones" HAD to be moved around - and areas closer to one club might not be zoned there.

Fair point :D . Plenty of 'what ifs' could be applied to the zones of all clubs I suppose, it just seemed for a long time that Port's zone got bigger while our zone got smaller.
