The biggest question of the day is how/why are Eagles supporters sitting in front of their PC on a night like tonight?
I couldn't imagine getting near one for 2 weeks if North won.[/quote]

I would like to point out that I went to work and lasted my 8 hour shift today(just they expected an 11hr day)!! God I felt like I had a hangover perhaps i should have had 2 weeks leave

O'Harra would be kicking himself. A good lesson for juniors to stick it out with your club and if you work hard enough the success will come. Never go chasing a flag no matter how certain it might seem.

The Eagles have to be congratulated for their recruiting of Grocke, Dabrowski and Cooper. All played a big part in the win and all were not really wanted by their former club.

You can add Jarrad to that list as well, although not a former SANFL player. I think there were 11 players who played in this year's premiership that didn't play in the 2005 GF. That's a huge turnaround in one season.

Actually that's a very very good point, I was relatively sober during the 1991 GF despite me and quite a few mates going to every GF from about 88 to 96 setting up early and getting smashed and I always swore I'd stay sober if North made a GF again (during the game) to try and remember it.

I hope you guys are having a great time, I know I would be, Ive certainly had some run in with Eagles fans over the years, but similar to your club, for you guys to stick with it with the crap you've put up with over many many years is a credit to your club.
Enjoy it, you deserve it! :D

Back to the subject of this thread - and Gavin Colville.
The bloke's a champ and damn well deserved to be out there with Cicolella (notice I used his correct name!) winning a flag.
The fact his mates shared it so well with him is awesome.
And I've jsut seen vision of him after the game on the news, and the tears he shed were awesome. Shows his passion for the Eagles and the game and how much the flag meant after all these years.
He's IMO the best player not to win a Magarey this decade. Always hits up.
Great work Colville.

guys, do you mind if I wrap this up and go spew now? All this admiration for an opponent. lol
