Can’t fault the effort but we have close to the worst skills in the comp and it’s not a happy camp at the Parade currently

Agree, very unlucky, had a real red hot go, but very ordinary skills. No method, almost just kick it forward and hope.

Dare I say it but my mate Callow could have iced it before time-on but missed a relatively easy shot.

Yep, absolutely no system at all.
Season was over a month ago and the club really has to work out where it wants to go from here and I think we will see some big changes at seasons end if not beforehand

So same problem as the last coach.

I’m surprised at that, Sheeds is a good operator, Twig was/still is a faarkwit.

Good game of footy to watch

Any idea of the crowd? North west hill looked reasonably full.
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

I must say for someone who is so highly rated Sheedy has been very ordinary tactically at times this year.
We are 9 games in and still have no system with players looking like headless chooks at times.

Got as close as anyone to Sturt on their home deck so I find that analysis a bit harsh Jim. A lot of soldiers down early in the season has clearly been an issue.. but the form is looking a good as any over the last 3 weeks or so?

Only thing that matters is winning and we continue to let them slip away. End of the day we are going to finish bottom 3-4 and 5+ wins out of finals which is absolutely unacceptable and heads have to roll

I thought our first qtr was excellent, great pressure around the ball and good execution ( just didn’t score a lot)

The 2nd qtr Norwood lifted around the ball and began to control a fair bit of the play, out scoring us for 20 mins or so…. However, We worked our way forward at the end of the qtr and forced a couple through in the last couple of minutes to lead by that margin at the half.

3rd qtr was again mostly controlled by Norwood and they got the deficit back to level and then, they themselves squeezed a couple of very late ones home to take a 13 point lead into the last.

The rain hit at the start of the last qtr and it became a slog. Sturt were a bit too cute and Norwood seemed in control, up by 14 with seemingly no time left. A scrambled goal to Anderson, a clean bit of play to find Hone on the lead and then a centre clearance scramble which Voss ran through from the back of the square , kept running and found himself alone over the back of the pack as a kick came in, was able to soccer the ball through an unprotected goal line.

Norwood had a crack, Sturt weren’t that impressive but goals late in the 2nd and 4th were enough to steal it.

Anytime you beat Norwood twice in a season is a good thing in my books!

Haven’t heard the offical crowd, but my guess is just over 5k. Didn’t seem as big as last years 7k for the corresponding match.
