A little birdie tells me Brenton Phillips application was taken after the official close of applications. There was already some good types including Bluey Peters (back to nack reserve's premierships at norf's) who recieved interviews for the job.

I don't know where that came from, dash, but I'm reliably informed that Phillips applied well before the deadline.

We'd both agree, though, that it's a bit of a coup to appoint a Premiership Coach to this role.
