Would have been an inexpensive exercise for North fans in 2003! :?

In 2006 The Roost (http://www.rocketrooster.com) sponsored Hargs, I wonder if I can talk them into continuing that sponsorship in 2007? :D

No black on it (thats just the shadows in the pic), just gold, red and white and thankfully not one of those 3 colours are in Glenelg's club song.

Serious question, do many supporters/members care about the appearance of the badge?

Yep, we had crappy ones for a while but North supporters have a lot of collectors amongst them (just ask Gerry at the Toss of the Coin) and we wanted to get back to a quality looking badge that we'd be proud to collect that also fitted in nicely with some of the badges of yesteryear.
I think our historical committee has a bit to do with the badge these days.
Looking at the fantastic display of badges in the Legends Bar at Prossie makes me appreciate how nice it is to have a new unique good looking badge every year as opposed to a generic type that lasts a few years as those years look tacky.

They're very collectible items and such best that they look better than worse.

As a comparison here's our 2006 badge which also had a retro theme:

Nice looking badges. North seem to have trouble working out what is red the same as the Power have trouble figuring out the colour teal.

Good point, our badges have the type of red we had on our previous Vee guernsey in the 70s (which I prefer).
(And don't get me started on the colour of some North supporters bomber jackets, I seem to have the only red one!)
Just for the record the Power actually use Turquoise on all their guernseys and on their merchandise, not sure why they call it teal as its not even close.

Cheers Wedg, having never had any interest in collecting them (mine usually sit in a drawer for a year then get thrown out at Spring Clean time) I was surprised to realise they mattered that much to people, but as with anything club related it's good to know they do.
