Fielke went to Collingwood 2 years later, same with Blight and N.Melb.
Hodgeman went to N.Melb. in 1982 after winning it in 1978.

All very interesting stuff. Mouse is intending to stay at the Bay, but the club he actually had been talking to at one point recently has not even been mentioned in this forum. Was floating the idea of reuniting with an old teammate.

The Magpies are the front runner for his services, with Backwell telling some former team mates that their offer was "awesome"

Hey MadRooster, when the Bay player was talking to you did you ask his permission or tell him that you were gonna rush on to the internet and spread what he was telling you to the wider community?

Borat, for what its worth, the player in question was standing next to me when I posted.

He also confirmed since, that Backwell did not train on Friday night (Mt Lofty climb), but Mathew Clarke did, sadly he indicated to Mickan that he is most likely to take up the offer from St Kilda.

I'd be guessing Heath and Jamie miss the impish little scamp.

That's because Backwell was in the group that went swimming instead.

This looks like a typical case of a rumour starting when someone hears half the truth, but not the whole truth.
