You can listen to WALLS or you can listen to people who know about AFL footy like ME
North Melbourne was a powerhouse team a decade ago.
As with nearly all AFL clubs the salary crap I mean scrap I mean cap
has destroyed them as it invariably does with most clubs.
THESE CLUBS WIN FLAGS, START SLIDING BECAUSE OF THE CAP + DRAFT AND BINGO!!!
1995-2000 NORTH MELB super club NOW
2000-2004 ESSENDON super club NOW
2001-2005 BRISBANE super club NOW
2003-2005 PORT ADEL good club NOW
In the cases of NM/ES/PP look at the recycled players they have recruited
to supplement thier lists.
So playing for the jumper is ridiculed by the system not the clubs.
Now my team SK has been going ok for 3 years now because
of the draft picks they gained about 5 years ago.
SK has not capitalised on thier bonuses and now are heading
for a demise courtesy of the same system which improved them.
SK pick up a 33 year old ruckman....see my drift.
