Mate, Hargs and Waterhouse both didn't play hence why he was chatting to people.

Doh! didn't pick that up....DW is such a DH.

But.....is it not unreasonable to assume that Hargs could have been playing, as he's not averse to chatting to the crowd is he? He's a friendly guy.
You're my only friend, and you don't even like me.

That he is, he'll have a chat with anyone, a nicer bloke you'd struggle to meet.

Good, he showed enough to say that he'd be pushing for a spot in the league side which is no mean feat with our depth this year.

If he wasn't playing, how was he getting bagged by one group of North supporters at one end of the ground, while having a friendly chat with another group of North supporters at the other end? I can only conclude that he was either walking around a lot or there were a bunch of absolute tools at one end of the ground, abusing somebody who wasn't there, and unable even to counter a Port fan.

Danny was at the Parade end of the ground.
He was there, he was being sociable, and is a good footballer.
The heroes who alledgedly potted him are probably twits.

Or god forbid a Port supporter is making up phurphys! :?
Maybe the Port "Grog Squad" established 2007 is still feeling their way?
(It looked like all of about 2 people were at the Northern End of Norwood Oval and all of the North supporters were definately down the southern end (and comfortably outnumbering the Port supporters). And lets face it, the bar and the bbq and the entrance gate were at the parade end, who the hell would be down the other end anyway? :?
Noone at the Southern End had the stupidity to get carried away at a trial game and even think about starting banter, mind you there wasn't a lot of Port supporters there. ;)
Plus we were too busy abusing each other and comparing beer guts amongst ourselves after a long summer.

PS Best salad Ive ever had was from the chicken shop on the Parade, a chicken chilli tabouli salad!

Because the group of idiots bagging him were doing the bagging of Hargs to us. They were saying to us that Hargs is past it, shoulda retired in 2001, he's useless, blah blah blah.

Ahhh, I get it now. I think there's a group at every club that will spend its time using the opposition cheer squad as a substitute for some player they want to abuse. Hard to believe, I know, but I think even us Tweed wearing Sturt fans count a few in our number that engage in the practice.

North supporters will outnumber other supporters at all matches this season come hail or shine.
The SANFL crowd records set by the big 3 (Port, Sturt, Norwood) were really matches boosted by North supporters out to see a good game of footy.

My fault, sorry I must remember not to make any reference to crowd numbers (even if its topical and just merely in brackets) in retort to a childish comment about imginery North supporters, I must comply with others and just comment on how much my club's crowd outnumbers the other club's crowd when we play South only. If a disparaging remark is made about any North supporters despite how childish or imaginery I must not reply to it with any factual statement.
My sincerest apologies for any upset my comments may have caused.
And a huge thanks to the people that only contributions to this thread are to make a smart arse comment about an observation made in brackets in direct reference to another post, your contributions are always eagerly awaitng and an insightful look into the match thread you've posted in, on behalf of all readers I can't convey how much we appreciate your efforts.
