Blockbuster start to the round, and a real indicator of where both sides are at. It has all been trials, and pre-season rumours up until now. With no real form to go on it's just guesswork as to how 8th and 9th from last year have developed in relation to each other. So going on that alone I have no cause to tip against Sturt, and only one reason to tip for them and that is based purely on faith. GO YOU BLUES!!!!
Sturt by 35 points.
I'm gonna sit back, crack the top off a Pale Ale, and watch the Double Blues prevail

The weather might play a part in this game too. I think west have a taller side overall, but I believe if the ball is played on the ground due to the conditions it be to the Blues advantage. The Sturt runners will get more than enough of the footy to win.
But it was more than a victory for Greece. It was a stirring example to free people throughout the world of what a few brave men can accomplish once they refuse to submit to tyranny.

Jimmy, for mine this is a really good looking Sturt side. Bowen and Eckermann really need some time in the reserves for their confidence, whilst Jarvis can probably consider himself a tad unlucky. The other change I would think is on the cards would be Greg Bentley coming in from the Power. He has been named on an extended interchange for Port but I can't see him getting a game.

Interchange bench will probably be, at an educated guess;

DeLuca
Lee
Bratton
Bentley

I could be very wrong, but if Bentley does become available it poses a headache for the match committee.

I am confident of victory.

You are. 3 persons to an interchange bench in SANFL.

Also, Turner should be on Sturt's somewhere based on trial-game form.

No Cupido to worry about now either. Should be a good barometer for the season.

Mate, just check out the thread on here about West's "Alleged" Problems.
Being a mod you even have access to the thread I deleted that was even more provocative!

a real club man and picked himself up the nickname 'tickets' for his obvious opinion of himself.

Every team has journeymen as you call them. Others call them recruits, rejects, money men etc. Point is this bloke is playing for us now. So we will take him. If thats ok?

He has signed with West. In any case, if it was a bye situation, he'd be playing for the bottom Reserves team from last year.
