Just before you hit town (and just after the Fauna Park) there's a turnoff to Encounter Bay on the right, follow that right through and you'll eventually see the oval as its not far off the bypass rd.

Yep your right it has been built since I was last down there.....I reckon I've travelled on the entire main road to VH 3 times in my life. From Aldinga I always used to go the back way via Hindmarsh Tiers Rd
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Mickyj - I don't think Bernie will be taken by the Crows this week. Craig tends to give the players a chance to redeem. If Goodwin is out I suspect Bode will be promoted. I would play Luke Powell in the centre to replace Cicca. Assuming Salter and Symmons are out I would line up something like this depending on match ups:

Rugolo Passador P Stewart

P Fiacchi Grocke Vince

Jarrad Powell Treeby

Duncan Schwarze R Fiacchi

Fairclough Hall Pedler

Lindsay Dabrowski
McKenzie Klun
Cooper J Stewart

MISSING: Cicolella, Colville, Inkster, Hier, Lomas, Symmons, and Salter

I tipped Eagles but they have a few out so I wouldn't be surprised if South get up, it will be a good game.. it's a shame this isn't the ABC match.

What about Steven Hall? Will he get picked or is his League career all but over?

He could still be of value if he stays injury free, however, I think he will be behind the likes of Pedler, Hier, Schwarze, Salter if they're all fit. I see him as more of a depth player this year. For his and the Eagles sake, I hope he has a great year because it could free up Pedler to play CHB and then McKenzie and Schwarze can be used wherever Fuller sees fit.

If hall plays that frees up Mackenzie to play on ball changing in the forward line.Seeing Heir is out who else do wwt have that can play down back.Mackenzie looked lost against Norwood and Peddler played at CHB most of the trail games .But I can see Schwarze playing at CHB and giving run etc from defence.

The Fiacchi boys seem to be playing for the same spot, perhaps they can both gain a permanet spot with the likes of Colvile out .That is if both stay fit .

I think Peter established himself as a very good league footballer last year. Robbie just needs to get over his injuries and he could become an important part of our side as well - he was best for us in the 2005 GF. I see Robbie as a back liner with excellent skills and the ability to play tall and I see Pete as the more gritty, determined type who can run on the ball and/or play a minding role in defence. I think there is room for both of them in the same team.

Will be interesting to see how Duncan, Klun, Rimmington and all of the other new recruits go. Last year we had a few players who impressed in trial, but were hopeless once the real stuff started (Coles & Stacey come to mind). Even Jarrad took about 3-4 games to show what he was capable of. At lease Duncan and Klun have had a taste of league footy before so know what to expect.

The reserves will be a completely different looking side. Let's hope they get off to a better start this year than they did last year!

Yep agree with you again.
Have had discussions with may lad about interstate players settling in.We think it takes VFL players (not afl) a few games to settle in because the VFL is a more pyhiscal style than the SANFL.If you've watched Jarrad tackle he is a good example of tackling and trying to break tackles and packs. If you were to get say a WAFL player they may appear quicker after attending that state game last year they played a very quick afl style game.Rimmington may need 1 or 2 seconds games before he plays league he has the skills .Not sure what has happened to Lee he was leading the rucks and wasnt in the side last week.

I have been impressed with Duncan I think he just needs to improve his kicking , as in make sure your kicks finds a team mate.I had high hopes for Klun, in the seconds he didn't impress greatly BUT last weeks game in the league side he showed he can play and could turn into another COOPER for us.

The seconds I think may struggle this year I ddint go last night to hear the coaches comments ,but i think looking at the youth in the team they may have a hard time.Dont get me wrong because that would be a youth policy and its the way to go. The more games the younger ones play the better the club will be in the future.
And I was so happy when they came back and almost snatched the game last week some of the guys really put in .

So with round 1 a couple of days away I hope WWT can start with a win.
