i put up a comment and dont even think it got up there!!!

just revisited it and it was up there and now this DAWES guy says he is hige SANFL fan and a glenelg supporter
Matty Wade is a star and deserves more respect from the forum family!

Mine didn't even make it up on the online blog let alone the paper, I was being serious when I said the 30s was the best era, Ken Farmer, what a star!!

I thought his choice of eras was fine as the majority of readers would remember those eras well, gorwing up in that time and attending footy games.

Going back further makes things a bit debatable. I doubt too many people using blogs and forums went to games in the 30's.

Bah! Im on internet forums more than anyone and I remember the 30s as though they were yesterday. Nothing will ever beat those Farmer days. :D

Dear Mr Dawe,

There are some football fans who actually don't enjoy reading "The Boast" (err, Roast) each week by your "chief football writer". If there is any way you could possibly enlighten him to the finer points of journalism (eg. writing balanced columns, not beginning sentences with prepositions) and add these to some of his lesser habits (eg. trying to funny with the woeful "Songs for AFL clubs", writing wildly slanted articles that are little more than catty mudslings), then this will do more for football readers in your newspaper than any poll you could possibly conduct.
