Its amazing how many Sturt fans are on the bandwagon, posts about Sturt have jumped 10 fold on this site...all I can say is early season form can be very very misleading long term (i bloody hope so anyway!)....lets have a reality check...they have beaten 4th, 6th & 9th from last year, good effort but no world beaters and none by convincing margins...

Fair call on the teams they have beaten, although I think most SANFL followers believe at least 2 of those teams have improved significantly from last year.

My kudo's post was aimed more at people like MST and SP who maintained the faith when many accused them of being deluded (or words to that effect).

very true, no world beaters at the moment, but i think the margin of victory is irrelevant when you consider how the victorys were gotten. Last year we would have folded in 2 of those games but rick has instilled some discipline and hard work that was missing last year.

When you play this way, wins will come, its just that this style of play needs to be played for 4 qtrs and thats something rick has to have the boys do!!!

as we said, vastly improved but short of 'real deal' status.

PS: The sturt bandwagon is rolling along nicely, but i think the bays one has shed some weight ;)

As if coming from five goals down in the last at Alberton is not good enough hey Jimbob?

Sure, as our good mate dutchy has pointed out, Port ONLY finished fourth last year but last week the pundits, some media and many on here were framing them as one of the flag favourites!

124 point turnaround v Glenelg last week and a 111 turnaround yesterday mate.

I am very wary about facing the Legs this week though. We made a similar start in 2005 and were top of the ladder coming in to the game with Norwood at Unley, whilst Norwood had only won once.

We lost comfortably.

Lesson: We have to be switched on and keen to play our best footy so we are top of the pile before a well earned break in round five.

well said....we havent beaten them in a while iirc....2004 maybe??? we cant get complacent, just need to keep doing the things we do and do it well. The legs will be eager to break the duck and we will need to be switched on...they took it up to a port team with tredders so its game on....should be a belter!!!!

Real deal? In premiership terms,I think not.

Real deal? In finals terms, real possibility.West,Glenelg and Norwood will ensure 3 teams will finish below them.
If you want to go quickly, go alone.

If you want to go far, go together.

Dutch

Bandwagon is very old hat - most of the posts are from regulars on this site.

Reality is we are 3 wins from 3 games and I pretty much was hopin that we would @ least have 1 win @ this stage and the fact we are well in front of that I will remain stoked with our teams results so far for the first 3 rounds.

Yesterday's result was a budget keeper - no doubt !!!
It is what it is !!!
