On TV it looked like a very good standard game given the conditions. North missed two set shots in the dying minutes but showed good commitment to get back from 14 points down with 12 minutes to go. They'd be disappointed not to win tho.

Reports on TV suggested he has a broken fibula - fairly serious injury if that's what it is

Yeah I was told today it was a broken something, happened early in the game too, very disappointing. Our kicking for goal today was shit, we came back well but should have won the game in the end.

Correct me if im wrong. But didnt the umpire pay a free kick to Ohara in the ruck contest before the siren went.

Why wasnt Ohara allowed to have a shot on goal ????

all he needed was a point.

Was that the one where Parry attacked O'Hara's arm with his neck?

South went too defensive in the last quarter and ultimatley paid the price, yet considering the conditions, I dont know that there was a better option at the time.

Dissapointing to see a draw, North had more scoring shots and I felt that we capatalized on their mistakes to keep in the game. That is not what I had hoped for, yet in this case, it wasnt a complete loss and it gives us the opportunity to continue trying to play better footy at the same time keeping in reasonable reach of the five.

Despite the result I do feel that South played more cohesivley as a team today, hopefully that indicates that although early in the season we are starting to settle down, the same happened last season and it was at that point that we really began to improve, so here's hoping! 8)

Good news is that McIntyre appears not to have broken his leg after all. Probably miss 2 - 4 weeks but that is much better than if the leg was broken.

Because he was 120m out and he struggles to kick 30m.

I watched the game on tv. Was a good contest and good skills given the conditions. Maddox looks good for South and Cubillo was impressive for the Roosters. North went in harder early and then South went in harder in the second half. A draw was probably a fitting result.

A good standard game in the conditions. Despite being in pouring rain much of the day, relatively clean skills. Atrocious umpiring in parts, but this was also a product of the weather - simply caught out of position at times with a fair few packs. Allan worked brilliantly all day, Younie had plenty of moments, Howard also critical, Cubillo growing in stature every week; McGrath excellent for the Panthers, Warren worked hard up the ground much of the day, Carlile a tower of strength down back, Maddox had some big moments.

Crowd in very good spirits throughout, and an excellent game to be at. A draw really the fairest result after both teams had plenty of the play. Interested to look up at the ABC-TV box in the stand, and see the former host of Total SANFL, CK, up there with the team for the day. Perhaps the ABC have seen the potential the other station apparently didn't?

Hard to pick the crowd size with so many undercover, but certainly a game that all would have enjoyed, despite the somewhat flat feeling with the result.
