Should be a high scoring game, we look very strong up forward and a bit light on down the back.

A bit light on??? Would be the most inexperienced defensive (and one of the smallest) line-ups we have fielded in many a year. One tall defender, 2 tallish defenders including a Crows listed SANFL debutant, Krieg who has hardly played as a set defender in his career and Ivens who is the most experienced in the back 6. He will have to lead from the front. I'm not the least bit confident tommorow night.

Our midfield will have to be tight to put pressure on them going forward as we don't look very strong in defence, our forwardline will hopefully kick enough goals to get us over the line.

Even more importantly is the last 2 games Ive missed we haven't won (loss to Centrals in Rd 1 this year and loss to Norwood in Rd 23 2005 and there's a very good chance I wont be going tomorrow.
The club should pay for my taxi from Noarlunga Oval tomorrow night if they want to have a chance.
(Or Norwood supporters should set up a road block)

Latest odds for the game, Norwood are favs at $1.85 and North are $1.95. (sportsbet.com.au)
Cool that means if Norwood lose they are chokers and if we lose its just expected. :D

Well the bookies have seen our line-up with all our injuries so no suprise and the fact Norwood manages to win at least one game against us each year so they probably rightly are favourites especially after thrashing the "resurgent and rampaging" double blues last week and playing at home.

Given where both clubs sit off field for Norwood to be considered a better than even money bet for this game is a joke. North's off season recruiting and depth, successive reserves premierships attest to this, means that Norwood go into this one as plucky underdogs. Add to that an extensive injury list and it all means that if the Legs get to within five goals of the Manchester United of the SANFL it will be a moral victory. :D

Seen our injury list by chance? If we were at full strength - particuraly if Hart and McIntyre were in's to add height to the defence then I would say you are right.

As Jars said just then on 5RPH last Sat we had 16 senior list players (both league and ressies) unavailable and you can add Ebert, Wintle and McIntyre to that list this week. I would say our "out's" are better performed and more experienced than Norwoods if you make a comparison looking at both lists.

I do have to question the player management at North especially this early in the season and not all those injuries are "bad luck"?

Spot on. Almost a carbon copy of last season. There is more to it than just bad luck.

Mate, Id just like to point out that besides my daughter having netball training tonight and my son playing in his first game of footy ever at Noarlunga Oval (didn't finish till 7pm but he did kick a goal and his side won by 3pts) that I still made it to the game tonight.
Admittedly I miss North's first 3 goals but I made a special effort of saying hello to Manny when I first got there with the family as he'd been calling me soft all week.
Luckily I managed to find my usual park a block away from Norwood Oval despite getting there about 7.40! :D

Yep, taking out the two Rd 23 matches in 2001 and 2003, the average under lights between these two clubs at Norwood is 4868.33.
